Worlds End State Park
State park
Nature & Parks
Popular with campers, this mountain valley park features rental cabins & 20 miles of hiking trails.
Came here to hike from the park office to the canyon vista. Loved the scenery. Inclines were very intense but the trail was mixed level so you had a chance to catch your breathe after doing a lot of inclines. Beautiful park.

We stayed in Cabin 1 at World’s End State Park on 10/11-13th. This was nice, very relaxing, inside wood stove for heat, outside fireplace, covered porch, stove, Fridge and beds. Bathroom and water close by. Needs some maintenance, door was not working properly, screws loose and jammed door to not open. With a check out at 10 and check in at 3 they should spend time up keeping during these hours. The lights are poor and dim, small upgrades would make this a 5 star. The bathrooms are very nice.

This is my favorite place to go! There is no cell service or internet! You are forced to unplug. My husband & I relax and unwind here. Listening to the water flowing in Loyalsock Creek, the rain or wind in the trees,...just the quietness of nature really is so peaceful. We enjoy having a campfire or a fire in the wood stove. The cabins are spotless. My husband & I work a lot, so often we will just go to W.E.S.P. for 2 nights during the Fall or Winter just to relax on our days off. This is my home away from home.

Such a pretty park! The fall foliage in the mountains was beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful here. I would love to go back in the summer for a swim.

Beautiful park. The drive to the summit is really adventurous during winter, be careful. I took my Tucson, no issues; missed my Subaru. Definitely will come back during spring or fall.

Amazing campgrounds, clean and accessible amenities. The crew though. Oh my lord, god bless these guys. One of the best front desk and rangers, who keep this place the way it is. They were really awesome and helpful to us. Swimming, hiking and scenery is amazing. This was a truly camping experience as there is no service at all, which disconnected us from our phones and made it much more enjoyable camping trip. Highly recommend

Great State Park. Super clean. We stayed in one of the rustic cabins. It was so nice. Comes with a fridge, wood stove, outdoor fireplace. Next to the stream. Will definitely stay again.

First let me say breath taking scenery and wonderful sounds eminating from the water as it flows down river the park is nestled between 2 mountains and the views are beatiful. Watching the water cascading downwards towards the bridge over pass and a little area they call a beach which is perfect for swimming, in essence its a local swimming hole... a must stop and enjoy when in PA some of the best natural places to enjoy.

I’d last camped on Bureau land out in Alpine County, CA in May so this was a lot more civilized, with designated drive-up campsites, firewood for sale, and clean restrooms with hot showers (except the last night we were there, when a thunderstorm knocked out power and shut down the bathrooms). The first night after setting up tents we headed to the overflow parking area, an open clearing that gave us a majestic view of the night sky and Milky Way.We hiked to the Loyalsock Canyon Vista Trail (fairly difficult but rewarding), as well as the Double Run Nature Trail (same level). For either of these, good knees and a solid walking stick are musts. The swimming area in the creek by the dam was a highlight, with both shallow areas for the kiddies and a deep end. There’s a snack shop that serves hot dogs and burgers along with ice cream, snacks, and drinks. Our campsite (#69, nice) was, like most spots, very shady, so don’t expect to wake up with the sunrise every morning! Our fellow campers were quiet and courteous, particularly as it got late. There’s a soft mulch platform for one large tent on our site and most sites, but our second tent has to be pitched on the flattest and least rocky spot on the site. While we only got one clear night, the views of both the stars that night and the dramatic canyon vistas and waterfalls within the forest made this worth the three hour drive from Philly. We’ll be back!

Worlds End SP is a PA best kept secret! We enjoyed the beautiful vista and “rock garden,” which is an area of large boulders to walk around. We used a picnic table by the vista to enjoy our picnic lunch. We also used the trail connector to walk part of the Loyalsock Trail. This part of the trail was very rocky, but absolutely beautiful. Some spots were a little challenging, so you may find it helpful to have trekking poles to help! After soaking in the views and doing a short hike, we enjoyed swimming at the beach. Keep in mind that they have sand, but it isn't a typical beach. The swimming area is part of the river. It has a hard, limestone bed and the water is refreshingly cold. The sand is in an area that overlooks the river. There are stairs leading down to the swimming area. Because we hadn't gotten a lot of rain, the water wasn't as deep as the markers claimed, but we were told it can get deep enough to cover the last few steps. There is a snack shop near the beach. The visitor center has nice bathrooms and some shirts to purchase. There are displays of wildlife and park history. You can get a park map there, buy a sticker, and get your questions about the park from the helpful staff. This is a beautiful, rugged park with amazing views. I highly recommend a visit. We will certainly be going back!

A beautiful campground. No cell service but you don’t need it with such beauty! I have to come back to do more of the trails and spend more time by the water. Definitely recommend checking out the Rock Garden and Loyalsick Canyon overlook, which you can drive to.

We loved this park. So relaxing. Gorgeous scenery. There is plenty to do if you like to be outside! Waterfalls, trails, the creek, a covered bridge, wildlife, vistas, rock garden, etc. The campground is simple without a lot of bells and whistles so you can just enjoy being outside in the trees.
K C — Google review
This park is all about the natural world. Lush vegetation that sprawls up the mountains, various floral and mushroom growth, crisp springs to swim in, designated pool area, waterfalls, bridges, rock formations, stony shoreline, sandy bottom, well crafted and spacious pavilions under the treetops, plenty of shade, and small critters roaming the grounds make it an excellent destination spot. There is a concession stand also for snacking convenience and park rangers surveying activity. T he cabins are quaint and conveniently located within walking distance to the restrooms, visitors' center, and playgrounds, with river and creek accessibility. It is probably the most relaxing park I've been to in several years.

The leaves were in full autumnal beauty for a quick weekend visit Sept 29-Oct 1. Weather was beautiful. No service at the tenting camping but that is the way I like it :)

We loved camping here. Everyone was friendly, and the park rangers frequently patrolled, answered any questions we may have. The facilities were very clean and well stocked. Lots of shade and easy walking to creek to cool off.If you have kids, bring some toys and their bikes. They’ll have endless fun!
Calista T — Google review
First time visiting, and pictures itself can not describe the scenery! There were picnic areas along the riverbank, trails to walk, certain areas designated for camping, a beach side to safely swim, if taking a chance on the flowing riverbank side was not your cup of tea and snack shop to get food, drinks and ice cream. Attached to the shop were bathrooms that also provided changing areas. Will definitely be back!

This museum is the greatest I had a wonderful time spent three and a half hours there looking at everything I can't wait till I go back
Myra S — Google review
Such a local gem. It is great to see the local businesses supporting one another. From a kid point of view, one of the best features of the air museum was the cockpit replica with controls you could actually play with. The car museum is a little heavy on the Chevys, but the attention to detail, like the steering wheels, parking meters and carburetors as posts to rope the cars off makes this place stand out from other public collections. And the showroom sparkles. One of the staff members even gave my kiddo a quarter to put in the 1950's style Jukebox. The local high school was selling Cokes, Hot Dogs and pork bbq. Who doesn't love to support that? They often have special events, so it's not a bad idea to follow them on Facebook. While in the area you almost have to visit the little town of Eagles Mere. And then support the PA State Parks by visiting Worlds End State Park. You will not be disappointed. It is a perfect way to spend your Saturday.

Visited both the car and air museum today with my family, our second time there. I am blown away at how great of a place this is. It is in the middle of no where PA, and worth the trip. If you love cars and vintage airplanes, don't miss going here. 6 bucks admission with a family discount is offered. If you go on a weekend chances are you can see the old planes flying around. What an amazing site and sound. Super clean, and great parking for people who have nice cars! Trust me I know that is important. Nearly all the parking is paved!

I met two of the ball players on there at the park one day when I was eating lunch they were both very nice gentlemen. We are going Thursday night is Faith night. Going with our church group and I can't wait. I'll take some photos when I go and I will repost them on here. They have different types of nights to like sometimes you can get free tickets from the banks or places where to go or a certain nights they also do fireworks here I think it's on the weekends Friday or Saturday night I'm not sure it's usually advertised on a bulletin at memorial Park

Small but great ball park. No bad seats that I could see. The food I had was pretty good (mostly from the stand on the third base side next to the deck). The people working the food stands were some of the nicest I have encountered, and I have been to a lot of minor league ball parks. Not much foul ball opportunity for kids the way the ballpark is setup and the safety nets.
Austin W — Google review
The Crosscutters only scored one run tonight and it wasn't until the last inning. That was unfortunate, but players come and go... The show goes on.The staff seemed friendly and enthusiastic. I want to give a special shout out to the guy in the safety vest with the cone who passionately attempted to inspire a melancholy crowd all the way through 9th inning. He was absolutely steadfast with his chants of "Let's Go Cutters!" as this dismal crowd provided virtually no response to his efforts, and all dreams of a win, faded from reality. That guy never gave up. I admire that. I am not sure if you allow fans to vote on an employee of the month award, but if you do, please allot my vote to him.My only serious concern relates to the concession stand. After ordering my sandwich, I decided to live life on the wild side and spice things up by adding a little Frank's Red Hot Sauce using the provided dispenser in the condiment area. As I pressed down on the dispenser, I felt some friction and realized this task would require a little more force than I initially expected. I applied a little more strength and immediately regretted the decision. A massive amount of hot sauce exploded from the dispenser, ricocheting off my sandwich, splattering the condiment area: my forearms were covered in hot sauce. I was so embarrassed after the fiery discharge, that I didn't have the courage to make eye contact with the poor woman standing next to me, who was most likely also a victim of the red eruption. To make matters worse, the napkin dispenser was virtually impossible to use. I stood there, struggling to operate this with one hand as I held my sandwich in the other. If this is a deliberate decision, as part of a "go green" initiative to save napkins, I applaud your efforts, but in this desperate moment, the opposite occurred: I frantically shredded napkin after napkin, hoping to finally get a whole napkin that I could proudly return to my seat with as I used others to wipe the hot sauce off of myself. Eventually, I put my head down and retreated to my seat, with what appeared to be a crumpled wad of toilet paper in my hand. For the aforementioned issues with the condiment area at the concession stand, I cannot, in good conscience, give the Crosscutters a five star review. That being said, the Acme brisket sandwich was excellent and the 32 oz. Labatt drafts, always hit the spot at the ball park.
Adam S — Google review
Affordable tickets with a great view of the field and shade. There is something interactive going on with the audience between each inning which makes it more exciting..... including the mascot Boomer's t-shirt gun! The concession prices are a little steep and they are very persice on the type of bags you are allowed to bring in, so just make sure to read the website before hand so you know what's allowed. It's $3.00 to park near the main gait. I parked on the other side of the street, it's a big empty lot just a little further away, no charge.

It's a pleasant ball park that's well maintained. It's got the nice, somewhat campy atmosphere that makes live games so fun to go to. Prices are reasonable, perhaps a wee bit on the high side for concessions. Also, beer is served here, so bonus points there. The seating also features a lot of shade, so that's an added bonus, too.

Easy to find, people at the venue are very helpful and friendly. Parking was difficult to find. Had to park several blocks away. Which would have been nice if it wasn’t one of those rainy days. Many small eateries surround the venue but a good suggestion if you are going to eat prior to a show to get reservations. Went to see Casting Crowns for their 20th anniversary. The size of the venue made for a very personable experience. Good sound, a very enjoyable time!

I went here for the first time ever and saw Michael W. Smith in concert. It was a fantastic performance! The staff was very friendly and helpful and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The seating was comfortable, and the lighting was perfect, as was the audio. It was easy in and out. Parking was just a short walk from the center and allowed us enough time to eat before the show and attend the show. There were plenty of restaurants in walking distance of the center. It is one of the most beautiful venues I have ever attended. I would highly recommend it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

There are no words in the human vernacular that are sufficient to describe the atmosphere and energy of the CAC. The decor is vibrant, the acoustics are astounding, and the stage presentation is ethereal. Every member of the staff is accommodating, cordial and perfectly pleasant. The musical lineups that are scheduled are incredible, and their dedication to showcase such talent is unmatched. The drinks flow like the majestic Susquehanna that runs through the beautiful city while the bands serenade the theater full of patrons with magical melodies. This is the greatest venue outside of Philadelphia - the vibes are immaculate.

Absolutely gorgeous theater! We sat in the loge for a children’s show and it was a great view. The architecture is breathtaking and the sound was great. There were a few snack bars and I was expected prices to be high, but I was pleasantly surprised. Bottle of water, kids juice box, bag of Swedish fish and a bag of Combos cost me $8. Only $8! Staff were friendly. Restrooms were clean. Parking available a block away in a paid lot. As a bonus, it’s in a neighborhood with several restaurants and a brewery. Can’t wait to go back!

An old movie palace revived as a beautiful venue for theater and music. We watched the travelling production of The Book of Mormon. Delightful. Plenty of restaurants for dinner before the show. Good crowd management. Polite and helpful volunteer staff. My only complaint was the sound system, not always clear even to my non-hearing- impaired family. It needs an update that accommodates headphones the way I normally experience in Philadelphia theaters. Everyone would benefit.

Saw the Guns & Roses Tribute band. The musicians were awesome. It was a crazy night but vocals were so poor. I know this is heavy rock but a voice should at least be heard whether it’s a scream or words. The portable mic was not working. We sat in row B and didn’t hear him. We heard him slightly when he sang patience. Poor sound.

This place was a hidden treasure!! I came into town for work and was looking for something to do when I saw that they were showing a free screening of the movie "The Tingler" staring Vincent Price. The place looked very small at first front the concessions stand in the front and only one theater room, but to my surprise this place was massive and beautiful. I was in awe of how beautiful this old historic theater was.The screening was put on by Bucknell University film school or a film class cause a professor came up and gave us a background of the film. The film was black and white and a bit on the cheesy side, but I had one of the best movie experiences that night. It was interactive, and one of the actors in the class screamed at the same time as a part of the film, which made it more interesting. If I ever come back this way, I will make sure to stop by. If you get a chance, stop by this magic place and support the arts.Thank you too, the staff and film class, for an amazing moment.

Beautiful one-theater movie theater with an older, detailed architectural interior in the heart of Lewisburg. Sometimes shows movies for free or at a steep discount like $5. They don't have all the movies like AMC obviously since it's a smaller theater but each time we've gone, we've really enjoyed it there. And their popcorn has real butter on it!

I did NOT believe how big this theater was! It is old school and just really nice. Brings you back to the 50's, IMO. It belongs to the Bucknell University (I believe) and they show a lot of documentaries and class projects there as well that the public is invited to see as well. But it was a real nice place to go and see a movie with your loved ones or a group of friends.

The campus theater is one of Lewisburg's gems. It will take you back to the days of how people watched movies before multiplexes. They always run select movies that have done well in the recent weeks. So you might have to wait a little till the movie you want to watch comes up there but it's worth the wait. Comfy seats, good sound and did I mention good popcorn? I enjoy watching movies and I'm glad we have this theater downtown!

I am posting this so our innocent students who come here from out of state are aware of the dangers of Lewisburg. Watch out for freedom towing!!! If your vehicle runs out of fuel and you run somewhere and let it unattended along the highway, it will come up missing by these guys. They will tow it away, put it in a locked pen, and if you want your vehicle back, they’ll charge about $300.00 to get it back. I don’t trust them. This is to aware not only the students, but anyone else as well.

Out of touch administration resides over an overpriced, but beautiful, party school. The students, faculty, and staff are all very nice but the former are mostly milquetoast liberals with no care other than where they're getting their Natty Lite for Saturday. I've made a lot of good friends there, but I've also gone through a lot of trouble with the administration with the process of getting a new (dry?) roommate. The whole school privileges whiteness and party culture. Not a negative review, but a warning.

Bucknell University is a great place. Many essential facilities are available, and they are free to students. Bucknell is heavy in sports; it has some strong varsity sport teams and a wide variety of club and intramural sports. The rural scene is great, and Lewisburg our town is amazing in that it is very small and quiet. People who like outdoor activities and nature would love Bucknell. The only downside is that it is not close to any big city, probably as far from Philly as it is from Pittsburgh. It is about 60 miles from Harrisburg. And transportation is an issue if you do not have your own vehicle.

I liked the university and the town located nearby. It had a great academic program and they faced campus life in a straightforward manner. The dorms were nice in general some were a bit dated. The instructors we energetic and well informed. Bucknell is geographically isolated so don't be surprised to find Penn Staters around those campuses are close to each other. I drove through serious fog to reach the school.

We scheduled a visit and tour at this very beautiful campus. It is very far out but the town is charming so we were sure to block the whole day off for our trip. The university didn’t even bother to have an admissions staff member to greet us or give the initial presentation before the tour. We only saw students. The arrogance was palpable. We have visited a lot of colleges in the past few weeks and this by far the worst experience.

This place is worth it. Located less than 15 minutes from Knoebels campground. Took my kids ages 9-18 and they all had fun! You get to feed the deer (which you will learn are actually elk!) while on a hay ride. There's adorable kittens in the barn outback and a few goats too.
Jennifer G — Google review
It was a great afternoon spent with the family. Our guide filled us in on lots of tid bits of info about the current deer and we were lucky enough to have quite a crowd of them come up to the tractor for treats. They are really beautiful animals. Thanks for a fun tour of the Deer Farm! 🦌
Jenna B — Google review
I always come here every year when I go up to Knoebels. My family likes the goats a lot but not as much as feeding the deer. They also make their own meats that they sell. I remember having some meat and eating it all because I can’t help eating it that’s how good it was. I recommend this to everyone who comes up to Knoebels

Great place to take the family, a friendly people, informative tour guids, beautiful pastures, a really good time. Small petting area and a store on site.

Rolling Hills is almost an indescribable experience. At list our experience was. They were more than hospitable/accommodating to our family. Ave just the experience on the hay ride through the stag farm was AWESOME to say the least. Mr. George and his wife are amazing people. The tour was not only knowledgeable but very fun, it made us feel like kids again. All the deer come running up to the wagon/tractor and as you fees them a treat you can pet some of them which was great. The meats you can buy in the gift shop are top notch!!! I never knew the "red deer" was actually more of an Elk than a white tail deer. The meat's have no fat at all and taste like an expensive filet mingon only better!!! We're making this a yearly tradition!!!
Brian F — Google review
I ABSOLUTELY recommend visiting this farm! The deer are gorgeous and mostly friendly. They come right up to you in the wagon and allow you to pet them. The owners are a lovely couple who have been farming for the better part of their lives and are just the sweetest. 10/10!!

We had a great time! The staff took their time and we didn't feel rushed. Also the venison cheese sticks were amazing that we purchased! We did the tour and fed the deer. Would love to do a hunt here soon!

Don’t miss it. A very beautiful place and very nice experience feeding the deers. We did this before you got to the Knoebels to avoid rush hour. You need to take the carriage to feed the deers so plan in advance and preferably call and check for next availability, although we didn’t have to wait.

On the surface this likes a complete tourist trap. It is, but it's also completely worth it. Especially so if you have children who love animals. While my expectations were low, I was wrong. My children absolutely love it and so did I. The deer come right up the trailer and will eat from your hand. They did not bite or nip my kids. This time of year we were able to touch their antlers which was a n awesome experience. In would suggest to get at least two bowls of treats per person. It's absolutely worth it. We will return.
David P — Google review
Amazing experience!! I was looking for things to do in the area since my kids wake up so much earlier than knoebels opens. We called after hours on Thursday and was called back and able to get on a tour Friday morning. It was so cool seeing all the amazing animals here. Very informative. My kids had a blast, and so did we!!

Went here for a schooling trip with my kids. They all lived it, the weather was perfect and the deer were ready for visitors 😄

It Was super fun to visit this farm 🚜. I will go back in the summer. Deers 🦌 are all over and they didn't bite my hand lol. I will suggest you to call before you go. The meat sticks are amazing. Affordable prices too.

We go every year the third week in July and we love it! The older gentleman makes it so exciting and so interesting and we go every year because we have new grandchildren coming along and they just absolutely love it I sent a picture for Christmas. I hope you get it. It’s of all of us with him. We love him very much and hope he is doing well. Merry Christmas and happy happy new year and hope to see you next year.

Simply amazing! Definitely a must see with the whole family. You get to feed the red deer and enjoy a hay ride and see over 500+ deer with a guided tour. Also they have some pretty cool merchandise and treats for sale.

What a lovely place to visit. The farm is so well taken care of and there are so many deer. Be sure to buy a bowl of feed. The deer come right up to the wagon and let you feed them. They seem very comfortable with people. It was so nice to see all the babies. The staff is very friendly, and the driver had no problem answering any questions. Definitely worth the trip.

This was a great field trip with my 5 and 3 year old grandchildren. As we rode in a wagon behind the tractor, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the sights of the deer. The deer follow the wagon and enjoy being fed! Our guide was knowledgeable, humorous, and made it a positive experience for all ages.

This place is incredible! We love to visit on our way to Knoebels. The wagon ride tour is so much fun. You can feed the deer and try to touch their antlers. The tour guide is friendly and informative. Spend an hour of your time, have fun, and help support a local family business!

Knoebels Amusement Resort
Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Free-admission amusement park with pay-as-you-go roller coasters, pools, golf courses & campgrounds.
Great place. Free admission. Ride tickets are cheap. The food is absolutely on point. Amazing!! The food is insanely cheap as well. Definitely no where near the average theme park prices. The locals have it made. Can just come to a awesome park for free and eat a cheap dinner , walk it off then go home and repeat as many days as you want. I really wish other theme parks adopted this concept. Would certainly improve attendance at any park. We'll done knoebels.

Plenty of rides and fun for my 3 year old. So much so that we only got through 1/3 of the whole park in the 3 hours we were there. We'll definitely have to make another trip when she's a bit bigger so we can go on more rides and walk around better without the stroller. I love that there is no admission or parking fee and you can bring packed lunches to save time in the lines but the food we did get was great tasting and reasonably priced. Most of the walkways were paved so we could take a smaller stroller and still get around easily. I feel we had a better time here than at Hersheypark with a small child. And the ride books you can purchase don't expire so you can keep them for future visits.

Knoebels is a special park. Its coaster collection includes the loose, airtime-filled, and well-aged and classic Phoenix, the fun and unique Flying Turns, the inversion-filled Impulse, and the classic Twister. Its flat ride collection includes lots of classics, including many that are hard to find elsewhere. And you only have to pay if you want to ride, eat, or buy something. That's right, admission is free and parking is free, not just for passholders, but for everyone. And the food is good here and unlike other parks, not marked up for being inside an amusement park. Plus, if you don't enjoy the coasters, rides, or food, there are tons of other little things hidden throughout the park. And last, but not least, Knoebels really feels like a park, unlike too many parks that feel like a concrete jungle. This really enhances the experience, both riding and just walking around the park. In short, if you are in the area, I strongly recommend you go to Knoebels, and if you enjoy amusement parks, spend a full day here, you will not regret it.

This park never let's us down! Our family has gone for the last 3 years and we are always so happy with the experience. The lines are reasonable, the kids options are plenty, the food is good and not ridiculously priced (higher than if you weren't in an amusement park, but reasonable), the staff is great, the rides are fun and safe. I am so grateful for Knoebels! They give us an afforable option for a great day of fun with our kids!
Amanda D — Google review
This place pretty much had me at free parking. With free shuttles to the park. And free entrance. Pay per ride ($3.50 typical price for their best rides). Or buy a ride-all-you-want pass for like $50 adult, $35 kid. The Phoenix wooden roller coaster was very very good. And I also really liked the bobsled trackless coaster. The log flume was great too. Prices were not crazy for food, souvenirs either ($4 cheeseburger, $14 hat). Camping and golfing too, apparently.
Carl T — Google review
Super easy to access. Lots of pavilions to rest and eat. The best part is, you don't have to buy tickets to enter or buy an individual day pass to enjoy unlimited rides. You dont have to pay if you are not going to enjoy any rides. Just buy tickets to enter the park.Bring your own food and beverages to eat out there. There are lots of food places to eat at the park. There are no parking fees either. It's very reasonable with lots of rides for all ages.Highly recommend.
DHARMESH P — Google review
Pay per ride, it really makes it easier to enjoy the park without feeling obligated to do all the attractions. It does have a more homemade feel to it, feels like a locals' place. Weekend was very crowded (1 hour line waits), but Friday night waits were 15 min or less.Free entry and free parking (with shuttles from the lot to the park). Most rides were $3.50 to $5. The food in the park is very affordable too. The Flying turns "trackless coaster" was really fun.Visited Oct2024.

This summer marked my first time going to Knoebels amusement park and it’s definitely somewhere I would go back to. With 3+ large roller coasters, games, and a variety of fun rides, this local amusement park is absolutely worth a visit. The park is clean, food is fairly priced with surprisingly decent pizza and many sweet treats available for purchase. Knoebels is a free admission amusement park where guests pay per ride using tickets or wristbands. The larger rides like roller coasters and the log ride are about $5 per person and even on a 4th of July weekend, the lines for each ride were surprisingly fast moving, ranging from a 20 minute wait to none at all. My group was able to ride some of the more popular attractions multiple times which was a huge plus. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area and looking for a fun & budget friendly day activity!

Nostalgic place. It is so cool that you can pay by ride if you choose. Food is reasonable, but there are also nice pavilions if you would like to bring your own food. FREE PARKING! I also love that the pool is right there, so you can spend a good portion of the day at the pool and still enjoy the park
Julia M — Google review
We come multiple times a year and always love it. We have some adults and kids that don't do rides. Not paying for entrance lets us all have a fun day out without wasted money. I do now have a card for the disability program but that was the only draw back. Most places don't require 3 days and documentation outlining dx and needed accommodations. Most places you can go to guest services or at most a day before online for disability band. I don't mind documentation otherwise people may scam but just some awareness online on the home page about what's required and how long it takes. This way we can be sure to get necessary services in time. Oh the small groups coordinator is fantastic. Usually company picnic and pavilions are reserved months in advance. They got me something together for my employees in about 4 days time. Just having the pavilion was great. It's also the only park with tree coverage, shade, ect. Making it actually comfortable on hot days. The Phoenix will always be my favorite coaster of all time.

Fantastic fun for everyone! This is a Dog friendly environment. The staff is courteous and helpful. The rides are great and reasonably priced. This is one of my favorite old-school amusement parks. If you're thinking of going but never have, it's highly recommended.

I have been coming here, since I was a baby, with my entire family (parents, sibling, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents).I have had so many fun memories here, and look forward to making many more with my growing family. There is a little something for everyone, whether you are young or old. I personally love the Haunted Mansion, which is one of the few old fashioned dark rides left in the country. They also have great coasters and entertainment. If you are a foodie, this is the place for you. They offer almost everything. I like the international food court where you can get anything from tacos to alligator bites. Everything Ive ever tried there has been delicious. This park has a special place in my heart. Many happy memories hace been had here!

Great fun place. Kids & adults had fun. Went on a Wednesday. Lots of seating around. Lots of trees so not too hot. Walking taco with extra meat was delicious. Handicap parking right in front next to park. Parking was FREE. You heard that right! Tickets lasted all day. And you can save unused tickets for next year. Yes on the military discount. Unbelievable place. You must go!!!!

Endless family fun. Camping and an amusement park all in one. Great escape for all. Exceptional value for rides and food compared to other amusement parks. Worthwhile to go for a day trip. Visiting twice a year is never too much!

We paid for the all day pass there. You can also buy online if you choose. You can also buy tickets for just the rides you want to go on. My daughter is 6 and was able to go on just about every ride. With or without . The lines were not that long. Food was great. The best options. They also have a museum about the history of the place and how the coal workers did their job. In the gift shop in there we bought a bag of sand to find gems and fossils. That was really fun. My favorite thing was the app. You could see where you are and put in what you wanted whether you wanted food, rides, entertainment and/or bathrooms.

Always a great place to go. Better on wrist band days instead of paying for the rides individually on the weekends. Great old rides. You can find food that's decently priced and good.

You will see Tram shuttles. They have large picnic pavilions. Proctor & Gamble had their employees picnic there.Surprised by the different types of rentals for the day. The amusement park has somethingfor everyone. You can stay overnight or a week. They have a campground or cabins. You can ride a motorcycle to the park. You can hear different bands play in the bandshell.Bring your swimsuit they have a pool. Halloween will be spooky fun! Best of all! FREE ParkingAnd FREE Admission!!! Great location to spend an afternoon in the outdoors, listening to music and fine wine. Great food, and they allow you to bring your own snacks. Attended with a friend in a wheelchair. They were responsive in allowing our party to get to a table. Great staff, great atmosphere, GREAT WINE. Must attend event.

Great atmosphere, great wine, and great view! But if you don't drink wine, expect to pay a 700% markup for a 12oz can of Crisp Lager that you could get at a beer distribur for less than $1. You are not able to bring your own beer, hence the price gouge. 5 stars for wine and great service. 1 star for beer prices...

Stopped at their Open House just by chance of being in the area on a Saturday in November. Had wine/food pairings @ $1 each; 4 pairings = $4. Ginger Owl was the best surprise. 5 wine tastings for free at bar. Too many to choose from. Need to stop by again to try more.

I've been going to this winery for 19 years. The tasting room and wine list has grown quiet a bit. I always receive friendly service. There's surely a wine to please every palette. The Anniversary White is one of my favorites. You can get a flight, bottle, or slushie and sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful views. They have a nice selection of gifts and some local snacks as well. They also offer some recipes on how to use some of their wines. Try to make it to their Harvest Festival in the fall.

Hand sanitizer at the door and masks must be worn except when seated on the deck (tabkes with umbrellas). Clean location & nice view from the deck odf the rolling hills in the distance.. Nice tour and steam train ride. Happy to see anthracite history preserved. A must experience if you're in the area as a tourist or even if you're a local looking to understand the roots of our region. The tour guides both in the mine and steam ride were professional and informative. The gift shop was nice and very fairly priced. My family will be back again

Stopped here in the morning before a guided history tour of Centralia. It is a small museum and does not take long for a visit. They schedule tours so one can ride the train and take the surface mine, then take the tram for the mine tour. Restrooms and playground in parking area. Guides were good but come ready to ask questions. We were able to get tickets for immediate…but it was weekday and still full. If you are on a tight schedule then call ahead. My spouse and I enjoy our time here.

I arrived after 3PM and they were closed. I'm giving 5 stars for the exterior property and overall vibe, this place looks sweet. Property was clean and appeared well maintained. It's adjacent to a community park, bathrooms and bench seating available at same. Good amount of parking with upper and lower lots plus street parking off the park. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.

Excellent little coal mine museum and tour. It's not the largest one around but still extremely interesting getting to go into an old coal mine. What's also really nice is getting the combo ticket for the coal mine tour as well as the steam train ride up the mountain it has beautiful views of the surrounding area as well as you see part of the area where strip mining was done. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the area we drove over an hour to get there and would definitely do it over again.

Awesome tour, never done anything like this. Definitely something to check out. Pro tip: if you bring little kids have them wear rain boots, ground is muddy, my kids were covered in it. Also bring a jacket, it's cold under ground.

The real deal. Honestly, this was the best coal mine tour I have ever had. The steam train tour was also fun and scenic. I was there on 10/20/24 and had a blast. I felt the prices were very low compared to the value you get.

Really neat educational activity. The guide was very personable (Joe). Not only do you get to ride partly into the mine, but you also get to leave the seats to walk around. Be sure to wear a sweatshirt, pants, and shoes you don't mind getting muddy. There is on-sight food for purchase and a small gift shop. Everyone was very friendly, and it was enjoyed by my whole family.

Absolutely amazing tour. You LITERALLY take an electric mine car from the 1960s down deep into the mountain. You go down about 350 feet on the first level. There are 3 levels but only the 1st is accessible. The tour guide talks about everything from how the mining is done safely to showing you the coal vein that is on fire from Centralia. The tour guides are awesome. You can also take a steam engine from the 1940s up the mountain to go see boot leg mining operations and the Appalachianmountains.Well worth your time. It was a blast.

I have been wanting to go here for some time. Yesterday I took my Granddaughter and it was a great experience. We had such a good time and learned so much about Anthracite Coal Mining. The tour guides were really friendly. Truly a fun and unique experience

My wife and I visited today. This is a real coal mine, so the ride in is quite bumpy, but the actual riding time is fairly short. The walking portion of the tour was very interesting. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot about coal mining, and we also have an increased respect for miners, past and present.

I had such a wonderful time at Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine & Steam Train. The coal mine tour was something I thought I would never do. Going hundreds of feet into a mine is definitely a unique experience, but I'm so glad I visited and learned not only about the history of the mine, but also about the lives of those who worked there. It's very cold inside of the mine, so remember to take a sweater with you! The entirety of the tour was inside of the mine, which we were inside of for about 45 minutes. Our tour guide was so friendly and engaging, and definitely knowledgable about the mine. The gift shop was also really lovely, and had a lot of mine related gifts!Ashland, Pennsylvania has an important history that I am glad I learned about. The population decline of the borough as a result of the decrease in the coal mine industry is a testament to so many areas like it.If you want to do both the mine tour and ride the steam train, I recommend that you purchase the tickets consecutively since each tour alternates throughout the day. I recommend visiting at least once!

This was a sweet accidental find! While exploring nearby Centralia, we happened upon this amazing little tourist option. For $20 we were able to take a quick train ride to an overlook and go in an old coal mine! It was awesome opportunity to see a real coal mine, understand how coal mining works and hear the history of this line. After going deep into the mine we were able to get out and get a tour of the shafts and see firsthand just how hard miners work. There is also a snack shop and nearby park for kiddos, too.
Trish Z — Google review
Truly a wonderful time! We only did the mine tour (not the train ride). The 45 degree mine was a great relief from the 92 degree heat. The tour guide was great and was able to educate and entertain both kids and adults. My 7 and 10 year old really enjoyed it and the guide was great at answering all of the questions from the group. It was probably about 30 minutes. After the tour we played at the playground for a bit and checked out the museum right next door. You can tell they don't get a lot of visitors at the museum because they had to turn all the lights on for us.
Heather L — Google review
I have visited here several times and it never disappoints. Friendly staff that provide tons of information on coal mining. If you are interested in anthracite coal mining, this tour is a must do. The steam train ride is a fun little trip with a chance to learn about the locak area.

It was actually very cool to learn about. The mountain view was neat. The coal tunnel was very detailed and had a replication of what the sounds of them getting coal by firepower was like. If you do the coal tunnel be aware to dress warm ( even if it's hot outside) and wear junk clothes as you could get muddy. The tunnel was freezing cold, but still enjoyable.

The train ride down the mine was great! Our tour guide was awesome, knowledgeable and brought mining back to life with fun anecdotes! It was really interesting learning about anthracite coal and mining in the area. Unfortunately, the steam train was not working when we visited…we’ll have to come back!!

Had a fantastic time on the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine Tour. We arrived about 15 min before the tour and quickly took our seats to get the first car heading into the tunnel. This was great for kids and adults and the tour guide was funny, great with the kids and very engaging. It was a cold and damp day so opted out of the steam train. It was the weekend before Halloween and they were also having a costume party and kid events. Check out their website for potential special events.

So much fun; definitely worth the trip to ride on the ferry! I can't believe it's been in continuous service since 1817! The guys were very friendly and answered all my questions. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get across. When you arrive at the campground, I recommend going into the campground shop and getting the stuff to play a free game of mini gulf before returning back.

This was such a fun thing to do on a Saturday morning. You can take your car across the river, or just go along for the ride. It is a easy pace across the river, lasting no more than 10-15 minutes. There was a college intern who gave us the history of the Millersburg Ferry and was available for questions. The Ferry takes you to the Liverpool Campground which has a camp store and a legendary ice cream stand. Hours during the summer are usually 10-4ish and run Wednesday through Sunday..check out their Facebook page for lots of good information.

Millerstown is a lovely small town right at the banks of the mighty Susquehanna River on Rt 147..( nr Harrisburg) It was very hot so I didn't look too much around, but this park at River seems very relaxing and has a beautiful view.

Got on here from Millersburg. The Liverpool side is awesome. It's a campground. Plenty to see here.Awesome views of the Susquehanna!

America at it's finest. Beautiful beyond words. The staff is awesome and extremely transgender friendly. It was worth my time. I would strongly suggest you take this trip through history. History in action at it's best. Support local business and organizations like this.

Round trip on a Friday with grandchildren was a great experience. Well worth the ticket price. Beautiful day. River level was good. Captain Tom was so pleasant, with lots of history shared with the patrons. Liverpool campground store had ice cream treats.

What an awesome ride on history. Worth every penny. When you are taking a friend somewhere, you should casually drive down to the water and wait for the ferry. It’s a surreal experience driving your bike or car into what feels like a very small ferry. Great experience. You can also rent the ferries for parties!

A nice walk along the river. They have 2 person swings along the path and picnic tables. Beautiful sights of the Susquehanna river. It was very clean and well kept. Sweet treats now open where you can get candy and ice cream.

I am a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania and I never knew about these historical ferries. I was delighted when my friend and I discovered the ferries on a recent road trip. The ferries weren't in the water yet and still in dry dock but there was volunteers there getting it ready for a spring launch. Two ferries: the Falcon & the Roaring Bull travel back & forth from Millersburg across the Susquehanna River to Liverpool. I hope to come back this summer and take a trip in history.

A very small historic ferry. When we arrived, they were just shoehorning four vehicles on to make the trip eastward. We had to wait for a full cycle. If you aren't in a hurry, this can be quite pleasant (just sit in the tree swings and watch the river go by).The ride itself was very interesting. One of the workers told us much of the history of the ferry.Note to motorcyclists: neither side is the most "two-wheel friendly" we've seen. We had no problem, but inexperienced riders should note the gravel and especially the hill on the eastern end.
Wayne G — Google review
A really neat ride over the river. It's hard to imagine a time when the only way to crode the Susquehanna was by boat. Really cool how they insist on using paddlewheel boats to keep it historically accurate.Guide & pilot were friendly and knew a lot. I can tell they love their jobs. It's a different perspective of the waterway. Really neat to see the town from a boat.I would definitely go again. My only frustration was that this really cool ferry was hard to find. No web site that i could find. Not really clear on what dates/times they run. On way to ramp site I saw only a single sign. I found the road along the water but where the boat stops isn't marked well and doesnt seem to have much of a parking lot or car waiting area. The landing on the other side is hidden in a huge campground. If Ferry organization reads this: please promote your awesome boat service better. People are missing out

Lake Tobias Wildlife Park
Zoo

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Park draws kids & animal lovers for reptiles, petting zoo & safari rides through a 150-acre terrain.
More than I expected. This is a great place to spend the day with your family without breaking the bank. The property is very large with a lot of different animals to see. Admission was very reasonable and they were very organized with parking and entering the park. There are several places to get food and four of us had lunch with drinks for under sixty dollars. The safari was great and they took plenty of time to stop and talk about the animals while you got to feed them. It was a great experience and a place that I think would be nice to visit a few times a year.

Lake Tobias was such an amazing experience!! We took my daughter for her birthday and she had a great time. It's not a huge park but there's so much to see and you could definitely spend all day exploring. The safari was the best part! Our tour guide was great, and we loved seeing all the animals run up to the bus for snackies and petting. Admission was very affordable and will definitely be coming back.
Kristina — Google review
We love this park. The entry and safari ride fees are totally reasonable. Parking is easy and free. We travelled with a bunch of teenage kids, so being able to pack a lunch and eat at one of the many picnic areas made the trip budget friendly. And the animals are so cool, especially the petting area.

We recently visited Lake Tobias Wildlife Park, and overall, it was a pleasant experience, especially for families with young kids. While we enjoyed our time, I would say there were fewer animals than we expected. It’s not quite the expansive zoo you might find in larger cities, but the animals they do have are well cared for and seem to be in good health, which is important. The safari ride, which is one of the main attractions, was just okay. It’s a fun concept, riding in an open-air vehicle through a large enclosure where animals roam freely, but the variety of animals wasn’t as impressive as we thought it might be. The guide provided some interesting facts, though, which made the ride enjoyable enough.Where Lake Tobias really shines is its petting zoo. This area is fantastic for kids! They can get up close with goats, sheep, and other friendly animals. The interactive element was a big hit with our children, and they loved feeding and petting the animals. The park itself is clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. While it might not be a place we’d visit frequently, it’s certainly a nice day trip for families with young children looking for a low-key outdoor adventure.

This was the best day ever for me, my husband and my mother in law. The park staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we could get my mother in law to all the exhibits and take her on her wheelchair on the safari tour. Mike who drives the "limo" golf cart and mike who drove the safari bus were amazing. Somehow the Mike with the golf cart would always find us in need of him and tell us to call for him when we were done at an exhibit and when I didnt and I started pushing her somewhere, he would find us and help us once again! It was like ths whole park was there for us and it was the most special day I could ever have imagined. In a world where it is SO HARD to find handicap accessible entertainment, there is Lake Tobias. I cant believe they dont charge more. I am so thankful, you made our entire year. You guys are an absolute blessing for Pa and this world is lucky to have this amazing place in it. 30 out of 10. Best place ever.

Truly enjoy this place each time we come! Loved seeing the lions in a much bigger space and all of the fun active animals. Also the sweetest staff ever. Renee was a great tour guide and driver on the safari. And the sweet security/first aid man who tried to help with a splinter in our littlest was caring and beyond kind. (Just so he is aware, we were able to get the splinter out once we got home).

We have been to Lake Tobias many times and it never disappoints. $38 for two people to have 4 hours of fun. In my eyes, the price is well worth it. The safari ride on the bus tour is an experience that you cannot find anywhere else in the area. There are many animals that you can see up close that you would probably not find in a traditional zoo experience. I would recommend showing up close to the opening time because the parking fills up quick and it gets busy quick. Also make sure to stop by the reptile building for the 20 minute reptile show. Overall, great place to find entertainment for the whole family.

We took the almost two hour drive from Baltimore and had a great time! This was our first time but it won't be our last. I was amazed at how many animals were there, that I had never heard of, and I'm an animal lover. We experienced the safari and enjoyed hearing all the interesting facts about the animals on the trail. We even had a chance to see the exotic animal presentation and the petting zoo. And to experience all of this for only $19!!!!! This place was a great decision for our date ( we're adults but kids at heart) Thanks Lake Tobias Wildlife Park and all your friendly employees. 👋🏾

Absolutely loved this place. Plenty of bathrooms for little bladders. So much to see and interact with! You HAVE to do the safari. It's amazing, informative and so fun. Food purchase before hand and it's only $4 to feed them. It's a once in a life time experience and it's absolutely beautiful. The animals are happy and well taken care of unlike other parks I've been to with the kids. Parking is very accommodating. Just make sure you're ready for lots of walking! There is golf carts they have around to accommodate those with disabilities. And food places reasonably priced. Also loved seeing the reptile shows throughout the day! ❤️

This was a great location with lots to do. They have larger zoo animals like lions and Tigers, they have a petting and feeding zoo, they have a cute safari ride to feed the more mild mannered animals, and they have reptile encounters too. They have a museum, gift shop and places to eat. The food is fairly priced and pretty tasty. Employees there in my experience were friendly and helpful!

This is a very neat little place. Our visit was not crowded. You can spend 3 - 4 hours here fairly easy. The Safari Tour is the big attraction and it did not disappoint. However, there are several other attractions/exhibits that are neat.I recommend get on as early safari ride as possible. Seems like the early tours fill up quick.Plenty of restroom facilities and well maintained. A number of food options with several places to sit and eat. Parking is a little confusing if you have never visited. They have multiple parking areas. Seems like most people entered the lower area.Several animal feeding stations throughout the park. The history museum is worth a few moments of your time.Need a small activity that doesn't take the whole day-unless you want it to. This is the place.

I used to visit here as a child and it was great back then. It has grown and evolved into an amazing, family oriented, fun and exciting place!!! Lake Tobias has so many different kinds of animals and so many opportunities to get close to them! We got to feed Giraffes, all kinds of horned/antlered animals on the safari ride, and even pet snakes and alligators! Truly an amazing experience for all. If you live in PA or any surrounding state, this is a must visit location.

My sisters and I came through that direction from Pittsburgh to attend an event in Reading, PA and found this place online in an effort to find something fun to do on the way and we had an amazing time! Prices were great, exhibits were beautiful and spacious, and the place is huge. We spent half of what we would’ve spent during a visit to our home zoo. And our safari tour guide, Todd, was awesome! Whatever that man’s wage is, double it. Thank you for an amazing day!

Lake Tobias is a perfect place for people of all ages. My group arrived early. There is plenty of parking and lots of bathrooms throughout the park. The animals look well taken care of and have big exhibits. I loved the safari ride because you were able to pet all the animals and feed them. Be prepared to walk a lot!

This was the first trip to Lake Tobias for my family and we will definitely be returning again. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The animals all looked and acted like they were being very well taken care of and were happy. ( there was a bear that was looking not so happy he might need a bit of extra attention)The safari ride was amazing. Don't be Intimidated by the long line there are many busses and the wait is worth it. If you have young children get them some snacks at the snack shack at the beginning of the line. Definitely suggest you get a few cups of food to take along because the animals will walk right up to the bus waiting to eat right from your hand.

This was our first trip to the park! It was an amazing adventure. For my family the 2-hour card ride was well worth it. My 3-year-old daughter loved being able to get so close to the animals on the safari ride. It was a great experience even for my son who is just over a year old. The other cool thing in my opinion is it is very reasonably priced. I would have figured ticks, Food, and little gifts from the gift shop would have been well over $100. The nice thing about this place is you can bring a packed lunch and they have a bunch of pavilions thought the park. With the safari ride it definitely makes for some unforgettable memories.

Awesome little wildlife park! Todd was our safari ride tour guide & he was great—talk about dad jokes! I love that this place isn’t like most zoo’s that only have small enclosures for their animals, there was plenty of space for all animals. Definitely worth the visit.

My children had an absolute ball, the tour guide Nikita and zookeeper Brandon were engaging and very friendly, we were part of reptile show and the safari and both were amazing. They made education fun. We will definitely visit again.

This is a great place, very kid and elderly friendly. I took my 80 year old dad here. I was surprised by how reasonably priced it was for admission. We spent about 3+ hours here and didn't see everything. They had lots of free roaming animals. We loved the safari ride. The animals came right up to the bus so we could hand feed them. The ride was about 35 minutes, with no wait time.

Enjoyable experience. Liked feeding a variety of animals. Some of the lines were long for the safari and food, but the wait wasn't terrible. Really enjoyed the reptile show and seeing the sloth! Also liked that the restrooms were air conditioned.

This 923-acre historic park features trails, Holman Lake, a grist mill & Blue Ball Tavern Museum.
Our first time visiting. The park is absolutely gorgeous in the fall. We went to hike and stumbled upon their Apple Festival. What a delight it was! We got to see Shoaffs Mill in action and purchased a bag of cornmeal made there. The staff provided us with a print out of multiple recipes to make with it. We also saw the cider press in action and sampled the cider. My kids really enjoyed those two events. They were making apple butter outside and we sampled that too. It was so good we ended up buying some. The fall foliage on the hike was gorgeous and made Clays Bridge stand out. We toured through The Blue Ball Tavern, it was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The park is beautiful and clean. We will definitely be going back for another visit.

Great place for a adventure. Especially love the pool(when it's open) and the Christmas lights event. We were frustrated with the pool hours and availability this past year but hopefully they will be more prepared with staff this year. We paid the fee for just the splash pad and baby pool only, but it honestly felt like a rip off. Be advised they are very strict about bringing any food into the pool too which is unlike anything I've seen at other local pools. Makes it incredibly hard for a family, when you have to move everything at lunch and move again back into the pool. I'd pay a little more to be able to bring a pizza in and some drinks/ snacks for the kids.

Little might be understating this park - something to cater for all.Historic buildings (a covered bridge, a tavern, a mill, and a boxcar), a butterfly garden, miles of hiking trails, some playground equipment, a bandshell amphitheater, a boat launch, paddle boat rental, a swimming pool, paved parking, picnic grounds with grill boxes. If you are at all outdoorsy, there's something to do here through the entire open schedule. My family has been coming here on and off throughout the last 20 years and we've always been satisfied.

What a beautiful place 😍. Went to the park a little later than usual. But what a spectacular place it is. Snapped a couple of pictures of the beauty of the lake. Went on a little hike through the forest. And wow !!! How beautiful this place is. Got to see the covered bridge and caboose on the grounds. Went up a long flight of stairs to view the lake. Gorgeous 🥰. But I will definitely be back to take in all of its beauty.

As far as the pool goes, it's honestly the best pool around in my opinion. I prefer to go during the week since the weekends can get crazy busy. It is cash only, no food and drinks in the pool area except for water but you can exit and reenter the pool to have a picnic outside the fenced in pool area. Tons of lifeguards, friendly workers. Highly recommend!

Little buffalo is yet another one of the Pennsylvania State Park getaway. 30 minutes from Harrisburg or just around the corner if you live in Perry county, Little Buffalo has tons to offer. There is a huge swimming pool with 2 slides and a depth of 5 feet. Paddle boat and other small vessel rentals. Little Buffalo also has camping and I believe 40 ish little cabins for rent.

My husband and I visited Little Buffalo to enjoy a little fall color (turned out to be a LOT of fall color!) and were pleasantly surprised at all the park had to offer! Lots of beautiful hiking trails with plenty of signage, clean facilities, plenty of parking and family friendly attractions. We will definitely be back!

It's a beautiful little park, with availability for tents and small and large RVs. There is a challenging walking trail with accessibility on site and even more trails across the street at the lake. The RV portion of the park has great wifi and TV access. If you want a play area for the kiddos, you're going to need to either drive or walk the 2 miles to the lakeside area. Our only dismay with this little gem is that the showers are disgustingly 🫣 mold-infested.Either they are in need of a good power washing with peroxide, or they need replacing.Other than that, we always enjoy our stay in this quaint little park.

The Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course offers a variety of entertainment options including horse bets, poker, and other table games. Visitors can also enjoy dining and various forms of entertainment. The casino is praised for its location as well as the quality of its restaurant and games. It's a great place to spend either a weekend or an evening, depending on your schedule.
Love the outdoor venue. Seats are kinda cramped in too tight to where you barely have room to walk past people to get in or out. Saw Walker Hayes and then fireworks after the show for the 4th of July. All around a great time and experience.

This was our second visit here. Part of the casino allows smoking, and part of it is non-smoking. Being a nonsmoker, I prefer the area without people smoking. The gaming floor is large. They also have horse race betting available. The facility is located close to Hershey PA. There are hotels, restaurants, and gas stations nearby. The grounds are taken care of, and the landscaping is great. There is a Hollywood Casino located in Bangor Maine, too.

Slots are very tight here. I used to go here because it was a lot of fun when they actually did pay out enough to keep you playing for a good amount of time. Now you can blow through Hundreds in an hour and win nothing. The Casino itself is nice and clean. The food courts have good food.First 2 Big Hits were at Hard Rock Cafe Atlantic City NJ. Best I could get at Hollywood casino was full screen of Jacks. Of course I feel right place at the right time helps.

With no idea what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised by the outdoor venue on 6/21/24. Traffic was nonexistent as we entered (may have been because the concert was advertised to start at 5pm, then 6pm, and the Ticketmaster tickets said 7pm. When I called the casino to clarify, the gentleman who answered said he could confirm the concert started at 7pm, but the opener was playing when we arrived at 6pm). We were directed to park in a grassy field in view of the stage. Easy getting into the venue. There are several shipping containers set up as concessions/drink stands at the back of the venue. No vegetarian options other than fries, but they did have burgers, cheesesteaks, soft drinks, water, beer, wine, and a mezcal station etc. Directly in front of the concessions were two patio areas with hanging lights and some chairs and another tented area for shade, all accessible to anyone. The concert seating was fixed rows of reasonably comfortable chairs and all had good views of the stage and giant tvs. On each side of the front rows were raised “specialty areas” one of which I recall was called the Oasis, which I’m sure folks paid more to access. Porta-pottys, stationed on both sides of the venue (they had tons of them, regular and handicap accessible), were extremely clean and handwashing stations were stocked with soap and water. After the concert, we moved swiftly to our vehicle and left with very little traffic (may have been because attendance was approx 2500 for the 5000 capacity venue). Overall excellent experience.

Had such a great time! It's a great place to go if you have a few extra bucks and if you're looking for a little excitement. There are plenty of slots and table games so you won't get bored easily. The only thing that I wish was different would have to be how the slot machines aren't really arranged the greatest.

I went for the Arrival from Sweden, ABBA Tribute concert and met family before and after at the casino. We ate at Sportsbook and gathered there after before we enjoyed the live music and played the slots. I haven't been in a very long tune and was pleasantly surprised in the improvements. I stopped coming because I couldn't handle all the smoke. This time, even in the smoking area, it was manageable. Obviously, they have upgraded the ventilation systems! I will be back soon!

An expensive casino with a racetrack. They have a parking garage but a lot of areas were closed off in the casino. On top of that they would let me take any pictures inside, which was a first. There are better casinos to try in York and Bethlehem, so I won't bother with this place again.

My wife and I did pretty well here the other week. The casino is big and very clean and doesn't reek of cigarette smoke. I'm not positive about the minimum bets on the table games or the selection but just from walking around I saw that there were lots of tables. There are tons of slots to choose from too. If you're in the area and like gambling, you should give it a shot, if you're looking for something to do.

We’d not been to this casino for a while. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. A few less machines than back then, but we found some old favorites. No free drinks anymore, however we bought drinks at the bar. Best White Russian ever.

This "Casino" is a joke. They shut down their poker room like everybody else during the pandemic. No problem. Everyone else re-opened their poker rooms years ago. Not here. 6 Months ago, they started advertising their "new" poker room, opening in spring of 2024. Here we are the summer.....Not a thing. Whoever is in charge is either too stupid to get this done or doesn't want to make it happen. And whoever is in charge of the website...says "Hollywood Casino's Live Poker Room is the only one of its kind in the Hershey and Harrisburg area." What a Joke.

1st time there and I won 600.00 on a 60. Cent machine. Left a winner. Very nice atmosphere as well. Bathrooms are beautiful . HOWEVER, their online casino was amazing in the beginning. Once you win big, you might be one of the unlucky ones to constantly have someone tweak your slots to never pay again. A weird message appears on your slot machine, and then you will never get into a bonus or win anything above a small amount again. Really, is upsetting. Also, do not care about your players' club card. I am an advantage, and I get 5 bonus spins worth 20 cents. There is nothing like the advantage card is supposed to offer. They want you to play their online casino but when you have someone constantly mess with your slots to the point you never win, not even your bet amount back makes you want to play draftkings or golden nugget. Wish they would learn and not mess with the online slots

My husband and I were going out for date night. There was a live band that was playing there, I do have to say that the music venues they put up there are really great. The facility isn't bad either it's an older one, wear and tear is to be expected always nice and clean. Especially the bathrooms. The employees there walking around are really nice. Smiles on everyone's face didn't hear anyone complaining about their job which was wonderful. So we went out for a date night, husband said he wanted a steak. He remembered that there is a steakhouse in the casino. One stop shop great music and food.We went to the steakhouse "Final Cut" understanding that it can be a little pricey. That's perfectly okay with us I'm happy to pay good money for good service and good food. We spent over $200 + tip. The drinks were mediocre, I am a cocktail drinker. My husband doesn't prefer drinks but I do enjoy my mix. The cost of them and the taste of them, I'm not sure that it reflected quite right, especially for the amount that you got in your martini glass. My husband ordered the prime rib at $57, I got their halibut which was around $40. My fish was on couscous which I have to say was cooked perfectly. I was really surprised that it was not mushy. The fish on the other hand, was so dry. I absolutely love halibut and that I have to say was the most disappointing I've had. We had Korean burnt pork ends for appetizers not bad well worth $14. I have to say that was the best part including the brussel sprouts. Those were the only two things that I wish we had ordered.I was sorely disappointed that we spent that much on a meal that I feel was lacking. We left there and I felt I had just wasted my money, I didn't say anything to my husband because I didn't want him thinking I didn't appreciate it.My husband has never complained about the places we've ate. Also the first time he asked me about writing my reviews. This one bothered him enough that in the middle of the night he turned to me and said I don't mind spending the money but I'm bothered by the fact of I don't feel it was worth what we paid.I think that sums it up. Definitely will head there for the music not sure about eating dinner again.

Ideally it is best to buy tickets online. The tour lasts 45 minutes. The museum shop is sweet. The views of the river are nice. A perfect top north of Harrisburg.

Fort Hunter is a gem in the Dauphin County park system. If you're looking for a picturesque place to take pictures there's no other local place that has the variety of backdrops. There's the covered bridge the stone barn The larger cream colored barn the mansion itself walkways and even access where you can be right down by the river and feel like you're completely in nature. The park itself offers great opportunities for educational trips. There are pavilions on both sides of the road, as well as restrooms. There's a nice playground for children on the barn side of the park. There are multiple opportunities for relaxing with a view of the river.

Went for a wine and jazz festival. The rain didn't stop us from having a great time. Great entertainment!! Plenty of parking and the grounds were very clean. Kudos to the people responsible for parking and the ease of keeping great crowd control.

We did the sunset tour recently, and our guide was very informative and pleasant. The tour also included some sweet and savory treats as well as a choice of mocktails. This is just another reason to live in central PA.

Going here for sunsets is amazing. It is also a lovely place to walk, play yard games, and throw parties: I've been to many celebrations at Fort Hunter! Take the tour if you get the chance!

I had the pleasure of visiting this beautifully upkept mansion at one of Fort Hunter's Sunset Tours. These tours only allow a limited number of guests, so it was very easy to see the different rooms of the mansion and to interact with the tour guide. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the mansion, and you could tell that she enjoyed sharing that information with others. At the end of the tour, we were all given a choice of mocktail and a plate of decadent snacks to enjoy on the mansion grounds. This is an incredibly worthwhile way to spend an evening, and I will be looking to see what other events I can attend here.

Nice place to watch the river and enjoy a picnic. Not a great place for hiking but it yo want a park to hang out and enjoy some history it’s perfect.

The riverside is a nice place for relaxation. It's on the west side of the road, with residential areas on the east side. We didn't go there. This spot by the river doesn't have hiking trails, but a bit to the north, there's a small open area for boat launch and loading.

I'm only there to play volleyball in the open field, but they cut their grass really well and it's a great place to set up grass volleyball nets for a few hours in the evening. The view of the train bridge is readout cool too. It's a great park.

We went on a tour of the museum and stayed for the lovely park along the river! Our guide was knowledgeable, it had just enough education to satisfy me the mom and still keep it interesting for the kids; lovely setting, lovely people, I would love to come back for an event or festival it’s just an incredible location!

Beautiful home to explore. The tour takes about an hour and costs $7 per person. The home sits on a beautiful park with several other buildings. At the end of the tour, they give you a map and some information about the rest of the property. I would have loved if the tour had continued on outdoors, but all-in-all, it was a great tour.

A nice park, with beautiful views of the river and the Rockville Bridge, with a fascinating history back to the 1700's

Beautiful place with a variety of seating options with wonderful river views - will suit singles, couples, and families. Look to the left - very long trains cross the bridge regularly! Really nice picnic facility. We did not go up to the mansion since we were only passing through. Nice parking area. Caution - be sure to take your hand sanitizer with you - no sinks in the "outhouse-style" facilities ... which are quite clean although extremely basic. Very nice park overall - definitely a good place for a picnic or a casual gathering.

The Hershey Gardens is a large botanical garden and arboretum located in Hershey, PA. The gardens contain 23 acres of plants and flowers, including rare trees and a butterfly house. There is also a children's garden on site.
I've been coming to Hershey since I was too little to walk... this was my first trip to the Hershey Gardens... It's incredible. So beautiful. And the butterflies section is so cool. Definitely recommend 🦋

So lovely here! If it weren't for the humidity, I could spend all day in the Butterfly Atrium! 🦋The gardens were well curated and manicured, making this a really peaceful spot to enjoy being in nature, listening to the breeze, water fountain, and birds. 😊🌳🌿🌹🌷⛲A great place to work remotely, read a book, get some thinking done, or go for a walk/jog to clear your mind.

I've been to several botanical gardens around the country and this one was one of the best I've found. The amazing collection of flowers and trees spread throughout the grounds is truly awe inspiring and well worth a trip. The grounds is large enough that even if there are others you don't even notice. Highly recommend!

Our visit to Hershey Gardens was an absolute delight from start to finish! Nestled in the heart of Hershey, this botanical gem offers a perfect blend of beauty, relaxation, and fun for the entire family. The grounds are impeccably maintained, with vibrant flower beds, serene walking paths, and a stunning array of plants and trees. The Butterfly Atrium was a highlight for our kids; they were fascinated by the colorful butterflies fluttering around and even landing on them! It was a magical experience that they still talk about. We also loved the Children's Garden, which is designed specifically with little ones in mind. Our kids enjoyed exploring the interactive exhibits and learning about nature in a hands-on way. The garden is well thought out, with plenty of shaded areas, benches for resting, and educational signage that made the visit both fun and informative. The seasonal displays were breathtaking, and it's clear that a lot of thought and care goes into every aspect of the gardens. We visited during the summer, and the blooming roses were absolutely stunning. The combination of natural beauty and family-friendly activities made Hershey Gardens a perfect destination for our day out.Overall, Hershey Gardens exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you're a nature lover, a family with young children, or just looking for a peaceful escape, Hershey Gardens is a must-visit. We'll definitely be returning!

Hershey Gardens is a well curated experience that regardless of the time of year you will see new plants, new colors and find something you did not see the last time you were there. At the entrance you can chose to visit the butterfly arboretum or bypass and stroll the gardens, one of the main attractions are the acres of roses- I was concerned that coming in a heatwave in July we would miss the blooms but this was not the case- a crayola box full of blends and tones of variations of color scatter through the acres of roses, and the layering of plants in the garden provide a visual feast of colors; before entering the main building there is an entire embankment of pollinator plants that lead down the hillside. Regardless of how old the children are or whether they are not there, we enjoy the children’s garden; the trees are simply amazing. The history of the garden itself is something that someone could write home about - tribute garden, gift shop, it’s a lovely way to spend a couple hours in the heat of the summer. Always an anticipated trip. They have educational programs as well as less structured activities, and this last visit Zoo America also had a naturalist presence.

Hershey Gardens is an absolute gem, especially if you’re a fan of butterflies. The butterfly atrium is a standout feature that transports you to a tropical paradise filled with vibrant, fluttering butterflies. As soon as you enter, you’re greeted by a warm, humid environment that mimics the natural habitats of these delicate creatures. The variety of butterflies is impressive, with species from all over the world showcasing an array of colors and patterns. It’s a wonderful learning experience as well, with informative displays and friendly staff who are always eager to share interesting facts about the butterflies and their life cycles. The lush plant life within the atrium adds to the magical atmosphere. It’s not just about the butterflies; the whole setting is beautifully maintained, making it a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts. Everywhere you look, there’s something captivating, from exotic flowers to delicate vines that create a harmonious environment for the butterflies.Beyond the butterfly atrium, Hershey Gardens offers an expansive outdoor garden area that’s equally enchanting. The themed gardens, such as the rose garden and Japanese garden, provide a serene walking experience with plenty of benches to sit and take in the beauty. The Children’s Garden is a fantastic addition for families, offering interactive elements that engage kids in nature and gardening.Overall, Hershey Gardens is a must-visit destination for anyone in the area. It’s a peaceful, educational, and visually stunning place that offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, a visit to Hershey Gardens, especially the butterfly atrium, is an experience you won’t forget.

Beautiful gardens, butterfly house was a fun treat, the kids enjoyed the children's garden. Rose garden was adorable, Japanese garden was a lot of fun. The little store had some cute things. We had to buy one of the color changing in the sun shirts for the kids (like I had as a kid) and a sucker with ants on it to try. Would definitely go again.

Great time, as always. The gardens are kept well, and the facility offers a nice educational experience where several types of butterflies are available to view in person. Also, the main facility offers a gift shop, beverages, and air conditioning. The views are spectacular and contribute to an overall relaxing experience, with plenty of places to sit and take in the serenity.

Really beautiful and well maintained grounds. I quite enjoyed walking through and appreciating the area. There's a smaller section for children that is a ton of fun along with a garden that was planted by students. Stop by the butterfly atrium for another great experience, ton of free parking too, I liked it.

Spectacular. The tulips were in full bloom. The trees were blooming with some in leaf. The entire garden is meticulously manicured. There are several gardens that make up the complex. There is no printed map and you should photograph the one in the conservatory. A must see.

The Hershey Gardens is one of our most favorite places to visit when we are in Hershey. The rose gardens are absolutely stunning in early June! The arboretum, children’s garden, and butterfly house also make this trip very enjoyable and relaxing. All of the staff we have encountered have always been very courteous and friendly, especially in the butterfly house. There is a small gift shop located in the conservatory building as well. I definitely recommend an outing here at the gardens if you’re looking for a more relaxed way to spend time in the Hershey area!

We went on a weekday and it was almost empty :) huuge plus is a free parking ( I did not expect anything free in Hershey 🤣) Definitely liked their butterfly atrium. Many different butterflies to see super close and some might land on you too.

We stayed at the Hershey campground so we got a discount which was awesome, perks of staying at an affiliate hotel! Didn’t get to see the whole gardens it just was so so so hot out, but what we did see was beautiful. There is no strollers inside where the butterfly’s are just for safety of the butterflies, there’s stroller parking just around the corner from the atrium. A big plus for me is that they’re autism friendly, they had sensory backpacks (fcfs) you just give your ID and they hold it up at the ticket counter and once you return the backpack you get your ID back. Very awesome thing they offer ❤️ the staff is super friendly and are there to help!

I have high standards for botanic gardens and someone with a membership at my local one, and I was more than impressed with Hershey Gardens! The butterfly room was incredible and packed with butterflies and moths. Having the fruit out to lure them to areas you could see them was such a smart idea and made them easy to find. The rose garden was a natural highlight, but the entire grounds were just lovely. It is mostly outdoors, so prepare to walk a bit and wear sunscreen.

Water & Amusement Parks
Hershey Park is an amusement park that features rides such as roller coasters and thrill rides for adults, family-friendly rides, and water attractions for kids. The park has a Boardwalk section that offers a water park with slides, waves pool and more.
Hersey park fright night event was an amazing experience for kids and adults in October. We purchased 4 after dark tickets online with general parking and it cost $227.31. There is an online processing fee of 14.95. This fee should be taken away. The point of saving and convenience is buying ahead then you get surprised with a fee. The park doesn’t open until 5pm on a Friday. I think this is the best day to visit. Less crowd and you get to the parking spot earlier before opening to wait in line. The roller coaster was so much fun and not too frightening for kids. The haunted house was scary and all the actors work so hard and did an amazing job trying to scare people. Don’t forget to buy the Hersey chocolate where it’s double in sizes. The clothes in the souvenir shop are decently priced. Overall it’s an amazing and fun experience for kids during Halloween season. Make sure you download Hersey park digital map as it helps you navigate through the park and get estimated wait time on ride.

This was my first time visiting for the holiday season. It was very pretty but overally crowded in some of the attractions. We weren't able to see everything they had to offer because they closed so early, even on a Friday. Chocolate World was closed as well, and so we're most of the rides. It was a nice experience but I wouldn't come back during the holidays. I feel like it was too expensive for what it was.

Fun, relatively clean park with lots of entertaining rides. Fun for the whole family! If you like coasters this is one of the best bangs for your buck. A tip, look at the prices of the fast track to see how busy it will be on your visit. The lower the price, the less busy the park will be. Most of all, have a good time!

It was our first time visiting Hersheypark in the Dark, and we all had an amazing time!Their haunted houses were awesome! My kids already can't wait to go again next year! (Also wanted to add...I have below, "no wait to enter," this is obviously just to enter the park. Unfortunately, the lines for the haunted houses do get pretty long, but they move fast!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Hershey! The weather was perfect for the activity and the crowd was fair. The wait for the ride weren’t bad either. The park was clean and the atmosphere was welcoming. We went during Mother’s Day weekend and it was a great time. The water park was not open just yet. I am from PA and still live here so my commute was not bad (1 1/2 hours). Go go go!!!!! Hershey park is a wonderful time and the plus is it is perfect for all ages!!

Beautiful day. The food was decent. Didn't seem too packed, but you still need to pay extra for fast track if you want to get on all the big rides. Otherwise, you're standing in line all day. We did go on Sunday with shorter hours, which made it worse, but still had a great day with family.
Keith C — Google review
This park is huge! There's definitely something for everyone here. The scare houses / haunted houses in the fall are so intricate and cool! It's definitely worth it to buy a fast pass. The lines can be very lengthy. We wanted to go during a weekday to avoid crowds. But they weren't even open to giving the option. With the amount of people who were there, I think it'd be worth it for them to open for weekdays even in off season! Such a fun time regardless. I definitely didn't get photos of all the cool and diverse things here, I was too preoccupied.
Katie J — Google review
Very fun park with lots of different rides to choose from, such as dropping towers or frightening roller coasters. However, I believe that pricing has become too much, especially with parking. I was able to purchase parking for $25 for a general parking spot, but the regular price is $35, which is outrageous for a parking spot. I also feel that team members could have been nicer with fast pass. One member of my party was disabled and had an accessible fast pass, but the team members were very rude about letting us pass, even with a disability. On the other hand, the rides were very amusing and entertaining. I believe that Hershey Park is a great day trip for children and adults alike, but be weary of pricing and staff occasionally.

We had such a blast at Hershey Park!!! The kids are finally old enough to be able to enjoy the rides and explore the entire park, which was so much fun!!I loved seeing all the animals, going on the low-key rides and eating at the restaurant and shopping at the big gift shop!A few recommendations: get your tickets in advance! Pay the extra money for the fast pass because the lines to roller-coasters have long wait times.... if you like to eat their restaurant located in the front of the park, make reservations beforehand because the wait time is super long....My only complaint is that the bathrooms are kinda of gross🤢 special towards the end of the day.... so make sure you have baby wipes for your hands!!Also, get there when the park first opens....Can't wait to go for the Halloween♡

Wonderful experience! Went for my 21st birthday and was very pleased with how the weekend went! Here’s a few pros and cons after going a couple of times!Pros: The park is gorgeous and well themed. You can tell a ton of love and care went into every square inch of this place. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the park is damn near spotless. The ride lineup is great as well, with a ton of variety for people of all ages. The amenities are nice. Food is above average, and some of the coasters offer free lockers if there's a hard ban on loose articles.Cons: Ride ops leave a lot to be desired. Even with the fast passes, we only averaged 2 rides per hour due to the insane delays between trains leaving the station. Some coasters were worse than others, but overall it was pretty bad. I truly feel for the folks that didn't blow a couple hundred on the wristbands. Some of the food spots are clustered together in a central location, which is kind of convenient. However, the operations are AWFUL and the lines were unbelievably long. However, this is an easy fix: just find a spot outside of that central area.

I would love to give this park 5 stars. It is a beautiful park that includes a theme park, water park, zoo and Chocolate world. They have fantastic rides for everyone, including a great coaster selection! You can easily spend 2-3 days here. The food was very good and overall the prices were reasonable. And don't miss out on the shakes and Sundays at Chocolate world. 😋My issues with the park are line jumping and ride operations. On our first day at the park we had 40-50 people cut line in front of us. Our second day we had even more issues than that!! There were 2 times employees were right there and didn't say a word to the people cutting.Ride operations, at most rides, were average to below average compared to other parks. Some rides, like Candymonium, were terrible. Candymonium was taking 3-5 minutes to dispatch a train. There was a constant backup of all 3 trains and this is a high capacity coaster that should be chewing through riders! Overall we had a good time, however, these 2 issues really impact a guest experience and is something that needs to be addressed.

We went to chocolate town in Hershey and road the trolley and made candy bars. It is a fun experience for all ages and brings out the kid in all of us. Great family trip and a trip down memory lane for couples. They offer a theme park that looked like a fun thing to do with the family. The food in the town was great and highly recommend you take time to explore.

FYI, With a single ticket purchase you get to preview the park 1.5 hours the day before closing time. So if you plan to visit the whole day on Saturday and Friday closes at 10pm you can come in at 8:30pm on Friday at no extra charge, even the parking is free on Friday. You also want to purchase parking tickets ahead of time because it’s cheaper than paying at the gate. The Hershey Park app is a good tool to see the wait times for the rides. IMHO, this park is the best value for the money. Before the entrance you have the Hershey Chocolate Tour which is a free sit down ride for the whole family that tells you about the history and how they make the chocolate, and at the end they give you a free piece of chocolate. The rides are unbelievable, and my favorite is Wildcats Revenge. Auntie Mortem’s Abaattoir was my favorite haunted house. The pig head masks were very cool.I had an issue that was my fault which would have ruined my vacation and I went to Guest Services and I ended up speaking with a supervisor and he understood my problem and he did the right thing and made it right. All I have to say is they have the best customer service and I will be a customer for the rest of my life. The staff for the rides are also very polite and professional. They take safety very seriously at the park.

We've been in PA for over a year and finally got a chance to come here. It was such a great experience. I got to see so many different types of chocolates that I haven't seen. We didn't have enough time to do the tour, so we will do this next time. Even though it was busy for a Saturday, there was enough parking. Long line-ups are to be expected if you want to buy items like milkshakes, etc. Overall the family had a great experience.

Hersheypark is awesome!! This was the first stop on a cross country adventure I’m embarking on with my granddaughter and I’m so glad we did!The park was clean, the staff was friendly and happy to help anyone who needed it.They don’t accept cash ( which blew my mind… hey, I’m old school… what can I say)? But they do have “cash to card” machines that convert paper currency to a credit card that you can use to make purchases. So, it worked out well. There are several roller coasters to choose from, so everyone can experience the thrill! From the colossal size of “Candy Monium”, to the mid-sized “Wild Mouse”, or the somewhat docile ride of “Trail Blazer”, you just can’t go wrong! For those of you who remember Rocky Point, they even have the Music Express, which was an instant favorite for us, since we went on it several times!!The park also has ZooAmerica, which is a smaller sized zoo to walk through with well marked paths. Upon entering, be sure to get your hand stamped to re-enter the amusement park area when you’re done viewing the animals.Overall, it was well worth the trip and I’m glad I got to finally experience it with my granddaughter!

What a well designed park. Rides and coasters everywhere. Marketing not in your face despite it being a Hershey themed park. And everything was affordable from the food and beverages to the snacks and souvenirs.Best part of all was that so many “big” rollercoasters could be ridden by smaller kids. Our youngest was able to ride nearly every coaster and had the time of his life.It was very busy, so without a fast past you will be waiting over an hour for the most popular rides during the day. But after 4pm the lines disappear and you can get on any ride with barely any wait time.Highly recommend this park!!!
Ryan L — Google review
Fun experience! Wildcats roller coaster was my favorite. However, I’d recommend getting a fast pass. We got inside an hour after it opened and we waited 2 hours in line to get on one ride. So our time there was mostly spent in line and we didn’t get to see the whole park.

My daughter and I had a blast at Hersheypark!I certainly recommend visiting! There’s many options for all types of ride lovers! We started off at the Skyzone roller coaster, not knowing it was the fastest one!It was terrifying! Not great for beginners, but fun.We later found the Great Bear roller coaster- which was much better- starts you off at not so much of an extreme- it’s exhilarating to ride! The jolly rancher remix coaster might jostle your brain, like it did mine- just beware. The water park was fun, but extremely busy- had about a 1/2 hour wait to do the super tall water slides, but it was worth it a couple times.I definitely recommend visiting and ideally spending at least a couple days here to be able to enjoy it thoroughly.

Awesome Reality,This place is everything I ever wanted and more. The rides were unpredictable as each one had its own twist of excitement. The cars displayed throughout the park were epic. Just check out the new 2010 off brand 4-person car escort to have your eyes blown away by the capability the car has. Finally, I got a chance to meet some of the characters there, and man, they sure love to bust a move. The environment was great, and the employees were good. However, 16.95 for a lemonade? 7 bucks for popcorn? 7 bucks for cotton candy? It is an unfortunate twist of events. Unfortunately, this type of pricing is just as bad as that one steakhouse in uptown manhattan. Even the characters couldn't save this park from getting 5 stars. Besides that, this park is perfect in every other way. Would highly recommend it. Just make sure to save a couple thousand of bucks, and you should be good.Reporting from Hershey © Park,That's all I'm going to say

Hershey Park has some of the best roller coasters around. Once the kids hit Hershey Bar height requirements, lots of options open up, much more than at the Reese's Cup height. It's also kept clean, and lines weren't bad for an August weekend. The park is hilly and takes a bit of effort to cross if you aren't used to it.

It was great, a bit expensive, but lots of fun 😀 the rides were great. I wish they lasted a little longer, but I had a wonderful time. However, if you ever want to see a Real tour of a Hershey factory, there is an actual running factory in Modesto, California. You can see how they actually make the chocolate and all the different candy. They have a small store as well. And give you a full-size candy bar at the end of the tour.

We went for the Creed Concert and Park. It wasn’t overly crowded on Friday, food and drinks at the park are your typical amusement park prices and quality. The flavored lemonades at some of the stands were good. The lines for rides weren’t terrible on Friday.Saturday, it was very crowded and the lines for rides were 30min-120+min, it was harder to get around due to the volume of people walking and the strollers.

We’ve gone every year for the past three years for day trips and it is 100% some of my favorite memories with my kids. The perfect mix of small medium big and VERY big rides. & The gift shops are Christmas gift heaven. I mean everyone has their fav candy right?!My favorite thing about this park is the short wait times. We like to go somewhat “off season” September-November and we literally ride every ride, some multiple times. You beat the heat that way too. Money well spent. It’s also incredibly clean.Since we only do day trips we are always able to do something different when we go. Realistically you could probably do all Hershey has to offer in 3 or 4 days. But even then… I promise you’ll want to go back 😎

Great experience. The park was not very busy, so we were able to get on a ton of excellent roller coasters with less than 30 minute wait. The rides were not quite as cool or massive as Cedar Point but still better than the vast majority of amusement parks. They have at least 10 really solid coasters and a ton of smaller rides. They really know how to treat you like a human being. There are a ton of places to get water for free all over the park, which was super appreciated since the weather was in the upper 90s both days.Make sure to stop by the big store to the right before the park entrance. There is a cool animatronic factory tour and you get a free little hershey bar at the end.We planned in advance and got an unlimited fast track pass, this turned out to be a waste as the park was not busy. Theoretically they can sell out or raise the prices of fast passes, but I would recommend seeing how busy the park is the day of your visit before buying one after our experience and checking out ride wait times on other days on the app.

We arrived at Hersheypark at 9 AM, excited for a day of fun. The park is divided into themed areas like Chocolatetown and Pioneer Frontier. We rode several thrilling roller coasters and enjoyed the water rides, having an amazing time. Afterward, we grabbed a quick bite with some classic theme park snacks. Fun fact: Hersheypark was originally created for Hershey company employees. Another fun fact: the park offers free chocolate samples! The only downside? Some rides have long waits, but the mix of chocolate and thrills made it an unforgettable experience.

Zoos & Aquariums
ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is a walk-through zoo adjacent to Hersheypark in Hershey, PA. The zoo features animals native to North America, including mountain lions, owls, and reindeer.
This is a relatively small zoo with some really exotic species. Best is an Elk. Black bear, mountain lion, bobcat, turtles, snakes, parrot etc. Not very crowded even on a weekend. The ticket can be bought combined with Hershey's park it seems. It's probably a 1 hour ride. Children will enjoy the time. Do not expect bigger animals like Giraffe, elephants, lions, tigers etc.

This is a very small, fun zoo with only North American exhibits. It takes less than an hour to go through, shorter if the creatures are hiding. The price is reasonable and there's lots of shade and comfortable stopping points. The best exhibit is the bears if they're active. They have a pool to play and wrestle in.

ZooAmerica in Hershey, Pennsylvania. When visiting Hershey park the admission was included. It’s a fun way to slow down from the hustle of the amusement park. With lots of animals to see including night animals. Always fun to see. Not sure the price as I came from the amusement park. But still a fun little get away and rest as you see the amazing animals here.
Minerva D — Google review
Cute little place... They have some neat animals! Bears, snakes, owls, alligator, turtles, mountain lion, eagles... etc. Has vending machines for drinks between $4-$6. There's a gift shop as well, on way out. Spent about 2 hours walking around. Kids had fun!
Marina P — Google review
My kids loved seeing all the animals, the coolest part was when we were looking at the wolves and an ambulance went by the wolves all started howling. It was so cool to see ans hear them. Obviously this is not a normal occurrence, but just seeing the animals would have been enough.
Alora D — Google review
We entered through hershey park, and it wasn't busy at all. It was an easy walk all the way around and took us about an hour. Would be longer for someone who likes to read all the signs and all, but with 3 boys they just like to look. It was clean and seemed well maintained. There was a good amount of animals to look at, but not overwelming that you feel rushed to look at it all. They really liked the binocular lookouts at many of the animals and could really look closely at the animals. For kids like mine that are constantly on the go, this was the perfect "mini zoo" to look at. Definitely recommend checking it out while in Hershey Park. Not sure that I'd buy tickets to just enter zoo America unless they were having a program or special exhibit or something like a close encounters type thing. Overall, we likes it and will definitely go back in when in Hershey Park again.

I grew up going to Hersheypark and going to the zoo! This year, we are first-time season pass holders and have taken our daughter twice to the zoo, and she has loved it! Sometimes, the walkways can get a little crowded, so small stollers are better options since when we went, our wagon got caught trying to get through crowds. For the most part though its a really great low stimulating experience, and it's fun to see all the animals!
Pippa O — Google review
It's a zoo. Exciting at first, then depressing. It's generally clean and you can tell they try their best with enrichment but it's not a high budget facility; many of the enclosures are very small. I can't help but wonder if they're waiting for their animals to slowly pass on and then close the zoo.
Kelly B — Google review
While ZooAmerica is a fine addition to your Hershey Park ticket, I can't recommend it as a stand alone entry. For $17 a pop, we were done with the place within 30 minutes, and that was taking the long way, "suggested route". The animals were well cared for, even if the cages were far too small, and the staff was friendly and courteous, but it was way too much money for so little return.
Joshua H — Google review
I went for the 2nd time earlier this month; The last time being 2 years ago. I truly don't believe anything changed at all. Many of the animals were missing the day I was there, but for what it is, it is ok. ZooAmerica could definitely use a renovation.
Ryan C — Google review
Not bad for a little zoo. Wish there was way more considering the $16 entry fee. Still very nice and it's a good walk. Good thing too is you can buy tix online ahead of time
Amanda G — Google review
Being that ZooAmerica is conjoined to Hersheypark, we had higher expectations for the amount of animals and overall experience of the zoo. We are a family who frequents zoo locations often. (Different states, cities, ect.) We love seeing the new animals and habitats set up for them. Although, ZooAmerica didn't make it to the top of our list of favorites. It is a very nice location for locals to visit. And a nice break in the chaos of rides and park frenzy for a shady walk through if you're visiting Hersheypark like we were. Animals weren't super active while we visited, but that's at no fault of the zoo, they were just enjoying their lazy day. We enjoyed the Wolves the most, but go figure I didn't capture any photos of them, since we were too busy watching them play.If you're in the area and have a bit to stop in, it's worth checking it out, but to make a trip from Pittsburgh area like we did, with high expectations, you may be a little disappointed.
Nicole M — Google review
Been coming to Hershey since I was a little kid, and Zoo America was always part of the experience. It's a fun way to break up the day and see animals from all across America. There are quite a few hills, so plan accordingly, but there are plenty of places to sit, and even a recommend route to walk through so that you don't miss anything. For a zoo that's attached to an amusement park, it's quite good, and definitely something that I've never seen at any other family park.I'd highly recommend giving it a try if you're in Hershey. It's included in the price of your ticket, and a fun experience.
Aaron O — Google review
Zoo visit was a nice getaway from Hershey Park when it's really packed. Plenty of animals to check out. It was odd seeing so many Black Volchers, but after reading some of their signs about them, I understood why they were everywhere. Favorite parts of the Zoo for us were the Wolves and Bald Eagle exhibits. We walked through with barley anyone around us.
Justin S — Google review
This is a great, conservation-focused zoo in a very walkable setting. It was an enjoyable morning there seeing all kinds of creatures that call North America home!
Valerie L — Google review
Not a huge zoo but since we go there with every hershey park trip , it's worth it. If the bears are in the water playing it makes for some really cool pics. The last two times we went the bears were not playing in the water. Its a hit or miss kinda thing. What I would love to see is some zoo workers walking the zoo and maybe talking to us about the animals. The houses that contain the reptiles, bats and cats, were cool too. Not a great zoo to take a family trip with but definitely worth the free admission with your hershey park trip.

For something different besides rides and food, cute zoo. Indoor exhibits as well as outdoors. Nice variety to see!

My significant other and I were enjoying Hersheypark and then we suddenly noticed the Entrance to ZooAmerica. It looked both mysterious and tempting. It was complimentary, so that was hard to pass up! We crossed a bridge to get to a building, in which we went through to get outside again. It was a weird concept, but it eventually worked out.The first thing we encountered was the Southern Magnolia. It was also listed as a Magnolia Grandiflora. It seemed odd to us, but we’re from Indiana. I liked it.The Roseate Spoonbill was pink and beautiful. I wish I could have purchased one.The Southern Painted Turtle was a cool one! It was listed as Frida. The American Alligator was close and definitely looked violent. I enjoyed that exhibit. The Thick-Billed Parrot was vibrant. It seemed like it could have been friends with the Roseate Spoonbill. The Burrowing Owl was pretty. It definitely seemed calm in the display. The Blue Spiny Lizard and Gila Monster exhibit was interesting. I definitely wouldn’t want to mess with either of them! The Saguaro Cactus was a new sight to see. It almost looked awkward to be in this place, but it was awesome. The Nine-Banded Armadillo display was small and to the point. I thought it was too small, though. The Barn Owl was another pretty Owl. I enjoyed viewing it.The Red-Tailed Hawk was close to that and looked like it was up to no good. The Bobcat was a different sight. It seemed very relaxed. The Black Bear exhibit was amazing. It was so cool to admire them from afar! The American Elk seemed far away. I wish I could have seen them a bit closer. The Mountain Lion display was a must. It was nice to see one!The Snowy Owl exhibit was a great stop. I adored this beautiful owl!The White-Tailed Deer and Wild Turkey display was pretty big. The Deer were gorgeous. Each Turkey seemed to mind their business. The Bald Eagle exhibit was decent at first, but it seemed that they didn’t have enough room in there. The Peregrine Falcon display was our next stop. The Falcon sure did seem fierce. The Gray Wolf exhibit was our last stop and ended up being my favorite. They were beautiful. They deserved to be in more space. The service was okay. There weren’t many employees here it seemed. It was unfortunate to not see the animals being catered to constantly. That was my biggest turn off.Overall, I’m glad I came here to see what it was all about. I loved all of the animals that I got to see, but some needed more space in my opinion. Maybe I’ll come back someday.Date of visit: May 24, 2024

This is not a big zoo and the entry fee of $18 feels inflated. There are a few exhibits and landscaping that are interesting. However, the design feels a bit outdated. This zoo surely needs modernizing.
Praghalathan K — Google review
Wasn't too much to see. Easy to get through and fun for kids to learn about some animals. A good break from the rest of the theme park chaos. The whole middle section just seemed to be vultures and non of the other animals you could usually see. However, it was super hot out so they may have moved them due to drought conditions. I'd go again though if I was going to be a Hershey Park.

The Hershey Story Museum tells the story of Milton S. Hershey, one of the most influential and successful businessmen in American history. The museum features interactive exhibits about his life, as well as limited-run exhibits on special occasions. Admission is free for all visitors, and it is a family-friendly museum that is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about Milton Hershey and his legacy.
This is a winner and we will return! It has been many years since I’ve been to the Hershey area and this was not here the last time we were. This museum tells the story of Milton Hershey in a clear and interesting way. The museum is interactive and engaging. The guides that are stationed throughout the museum are very helpful. We also participated in the Chocolate Lab where we made truffles. Our teacher was a bit boring but the experience was worth it. We finished our visit in the gift store which had an interesting selection. I can’t wait to try my chocolate soap! One important note for those of us that have limited mobility. There is an elevator and an easy to navigate museum. There are also ample benches throughout the museum to be able to enjoy the museum and be able to navigate comfortably. One problem I had was with the bathroom on the first floor. The handicap stall was not big enough to fit my walker. That was a challenge. However, they have a bathroom on the second floor that is handicap friendly. Also, I did not see handicap parking on the way in. We found a spot that was fairly close but it was a little awkward getting to the entrance.

The Hershey Museum provided an engaging and informative experience. I highly recommend a return visit, as the exhibits offer a comprehensive history of chocolate, accompanied by original artifacts and captivating displays. While the museum excels in storytelling and education, it could benefit from incorporating more chocolate tasting opportunities to complement the informative aspects.
John D — Google review
Great museum to learn everything there is to know about Milton Hershey and how the Hershey company came to be. The pricing was $15 for the museum and $15 for the Chocolate Lab. The Lab was cool, you learn about the Chocolate making process. You can also "make" a chocolate bar. IThey give you melted chocolate and you pour in a mold, decorate and they put it in the fridge to harden. We would definitely recommend the museum and maybe the Lab for kids.
Dave C — Google review
My boyfriend and I stopped here after finding out the Green Day concert was postponed. It's a smaller museum, but very informative. They give you a little token to scan at different displays that gives you information on the exhibit. There are some movies that they have playing as well. They also have chocolate tasting, which we were able to do and making your own chocolate bar, which we were not able to do. They also have some interactive touch screen games and a make your own wraper game.

I love museums and those that tell a story. So much to do here. Chocolate tastings from around the world, chocolate lab - essentially hands on classes, and a whole lot of information. The Hershey’s did wonders for the area and it was pleasant being able to step back into their world and see how the famous chocolate did just that - become famous. We arrived at 2pm and were able to do chocolate tasting right away. Unfortunately, the chocolate lab classes weee already booked up. I would certainly do this again if I were back in the area.Plenty of parking near the museum.

I thought this place was super cool, Milton Hershey really created an entire community and it stemmed from confections. Kinda funny honestly. The history is rich, and there are plenty of interactive opportunities for the kids as well, it's a great museum, and definitely worth stopping by.

Just a biker roaming around and had to kill some time. Spent maybe an hour and half and learned not only about Hershey, but local PA as well. As a solo visitor, may have enjoyed the visit more on a weekday.

Good exhibits for all things Hershey. You can also enjoy flight of chocolate drinks and chocolate lab.

We visited this museum before leaving Hershey. We had such a good day out. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The interactive chip was a hit, my kids loved that component. I would love to visit again and listen more intently to all the stories. There was so much to do there, we could've easily spent another hour.

We arrived in Hershey on Saturday for Labor Day weekend. Booking at the Hershey Lodge we recieved complementary tickets to the Gardens and Story Museum. After 3+ hours in the car, our toddler enjoyed being about to run around and play at Hershey Gardens for a few hours and walk around the museum while we waited for our room to be ready! The personalized token for listening to the stories was fun and interactive!

The museum was fairly small and took under an hour to see it all. A little disappointing for $16.50. They only give you one rfid token per party to activate various stories around the museum. I would recommend buying 1 ticket at a time, so group members can explore separately. There was some interesting information about Milton Hershey's life, but I would have liked to see more about the chocolate factory.I am not sure if this museum is related to Hersheypark. They do not offer a discount for season pass holders. We went here and to the Hershey Gardens. With driving it took about 3 hours and cost $33 per person. I would recommend spending a few more dollars to get an extra day at the park, or exploring Harrisburg if you have had enough amusement park.

This review is specifically about the chocolate tasting. This is a must do! It allows you to taste different percentages of chocolate but also different regions. Fantastic experience and is self paced so you can hang out and chat with friends while working your way through 6 tastes. $13 for a 6 sample flight.

I can not believe what an amazing experience this museum is! It is one of the best laid out and interactive places that I have ever visited. It is a must stop for people of all ages. I went with my 15 yr old son and we spent over 4 hours touring the museum and grounds and wish we were there longer! Neither of us can stop talking about the experience. The staff and volunteers are outstanding, friendly, and accommodating to any request that you may have. They are knowledgeable and always willing to talk about various topics in military history. The gift shop has a wide selection of clothing, books, and souvenirs at reasonable prices. They even have a section of used books for purchase at a cheap price.

This place is beyond amazing. For any military lover this is the place for you. They have a ton of stuff inside to see and interact with. They have an interactive shooting range and also an interactive parachute game. They have a path to walk around outside and see military helicopters and tanks as well as bunkers you can walk down. They have a nice gift shop to look at, and the staff are beyond amazing.

Amazing! Extremely interactive and historical look at Army history from Revolutionary War time thru Gulf War. Lots of photos, clear explanations and original equipment built into full scale displays that can be walked through, entered, etc... Both honors our military and those who served in a respectful way as well as accurately depicts conditions and hazards our troops experienced. We only walked outside and did not get to see the museum indoors. Please be sure to allow at least 2 hours or more for this amazing facility. Also, note that the majority of this facility both indoors and out is handicap accessible. Five star

So glad we discovered this place. It's a wonderful way to view, learn, and preserve the history of the US Army! Great parking, admission is free (paid for by our taxes), that is. Enjoy it! Great for a family outing. Need a full day to really go through everything, but it's self paced! We visited during the Army Expo 24 event.

I recommend only walking on cooler days, as there are very few trees and shady places to walk though. It was a good little trail just to cruise through. Tons of wood bees near the back end of the trail. It was interesting to read about what they had showcased there.

Took my parents to visit since my dad is a military history nerd. We had a lot of fun and learned so much! I would highly recommend visiting as something to do on a random weekend. It's all free too!The indoor exhibit is super interesting. I highly recommend getting the solider cards from the information deck. The interactive exhibit are fun and add a great personal touch to the history you're reading. There's a LOT of information so plan to take your time to get the full affect. There's also some fun stuff that I think kids will love like a parachute simulation and virtual shooting range. The outdoor path is awesome! The signs scattered throughout explain what you're seeing and provide information as current as 2023! The German bunker and the World War 1 trench were my favorite but I also enjoyed the tanks and helicopter. There is limited shade along the outdoor path, so I high suggest bringing a water bottle out with you and wearing your sunscreen.

This was our first family visit, and we were very impressed. The breadth of topics represented was amazing. We had mainly come to see the exhibit about the role of comics in the military, and it was fascinating. In addition, we enjoyed the interactive elements in the museum. My husband and I both rode on the simulated parachute, and sat in a bunker. We finished off our visit in the gift shop. We bought tshirts, but there were many other relevant items for sale.We will definitely return.

The exhibits are very nice. The problem is there are too many exhibits with very loud dialog. One exhibit features the same drill sergeant twice, one yelling orders, and the other one explaining her philosophy about the Army. Both are competing for attention, and neither winning. They just give you a headache. This is throughout the museum. Noise, noise, noise! There are military vehicles all along the grounds outside. It was such a beautiful day that we walked and saw them all. Appalachian Brewing Company has a restaurant at the golf course. Good prices and good food. Nice view too.A nice way to spend the day. Best of all...it's free!

This is a very nice museum to visit if you like learning about history. There are many interactive things at the museum that make it unique compared to others. There is also a whole outside ground full of bunkers and cabins you can tour. A few on the interactive activities inside weren't accurate, like the gun shooting station or the telephone to listen to soldiers calling home, but other than that it was great!

I've been coming here for quite a while. So when my wife and I came home for a vacation, we decided to bring her sons here. They loved it, and I enjoyed sharing the experience with them. My wife and I home school our children, so we are always looking for field trip ideas to break up the monotony of just being stuck at home every day doing your schooling. We like to get the kids out of the house and still have it counted as a learning experience. We definitely found that at the US Army Heritage and Education Center. The kids learned a little, got hands-on with some of the very detailed exhibits, and even got a little exercise on the mile long Heritage Trail outside the Education Center. There was so much to see and do. It kept us all occupied for hours. The employees that we came in contact with were all great, full of information, and ready to answer any questions with very enthusiastic attitudes. Overall, this place is huge and filled with so much content. I definitely recommend it for families who might be home schooling their children, but honestly for anyone who is looking for something to fill their day and looking to learn a little something as well. Thanks for a great field trip.

Grads make 40-60k entry after grad? I haven't made 40-60k after 3 years. Combined. This college is an entertainment for high schoolers who aren't bored enough to get a job; paid for by parents, exclusively. How much money can we give you to get a degree to prove that we've been trained in nothing? I can totally write a report, I can take direction, but there are no jobs that this school prepared you for, and their career dept is worthless. But hey, pretty sure I at least had decent grammar there ....

Great Liberal Arts College. Dickinson has a very strong and demanding Science curriculum. Professors are extremely interested in seeing their students succeed and will go the extra mile if they see you do the same. It may be a little tough to adapt from a very urban environment, however, being in Dickinson takes many distractions away from an urban environment. Everything is close and one doesn’t have to worry about transportation from one place to another because everyone walks or rides a bike.

I couldn’t find a café open at 7pm for some reason so I stumbled upon this place. I wasn’t hungry but ordered a Grilled Bratwurst w/out bun (keto) over chili and a side salad. They charged $2 to upgrade from fries to salad which is slightly ridiculous but whateverService - Everyone was friendly and attentive. Jimothy was hilarious, he wasn’t my server but he entertained us with riddles and practically did an impromptu comedy set lol (This is the reason I upgraded from 4.5 stars to 5, -1/2 star for the above average food)Food - good enough, a little bland but its expected (see pictures)Oh Coffee was also whatever. I only got a chance to grab to go beers because of schedule due to a wedding in the area- and I only wish I could give them a full try for fresh beer and their inviting food menu. The bartender was very nice and engaging even in my brief experience, which was especially appreciated since they were pretty packed on that Friday night when I visited. I enjoyed the atmosphere and felt it would be a nice place to sit back and tie one on.I grabbed the Common Sense Double IPA and the Peanut Butter Porter, and ended up really liking both. The IPA was impressively smooth for the style and ABV. And the Porter was a nice version of what's becoming American micro standard faire, as the lack of added chocolate flavor and excess sweetness allowed the malts to shine. If I can get back to this area of PA, I will definitely stop again, and I hope they may get over to Pittsburgh to buy.

Sorry but the experience was very embarrassing. We brought in about 20 or so people with about 10 more lagging behind. Avg age probably around 45. Your "not your waitress" treated everyone like children. Party greater than 6 one check we can understand that. Must be seated to order sounded a little annoying. Couldn't order at the bar either. But to have an attitude right off the bat with everyone as soon as they come in doesn't open peoples wallets. About 10 of the people were never in your establishment before. Probably won't be back. Who knows. So between that and everyone who was going to order food and 3 or 4 drinks im assuming ya lost out a little bit. Probably won't make a difference me writing this review. But if this is how you treat everyone who comes in with a larger party then i cant see us coming back again. We as in myself and 2 others used to stop in once or twice a month. Not sure the newbies will be back either. Everyone was pretty annoyed with the treatment. We probably spent over 2k the previous times we have come in. This group would have been close to that. Everyone drove and nobody was sloppy drunk if you are wondering. Happy st. Patrick's day.

Not the first that we've been here, but it's been a while since our last visit, so we went there for lunch. I had their grilled chicken wings with a hop dry rub and they were crisp on the outside & moist inside with just the right amount of bite. My wife had a BLT wrap and a green side salad which met with her approval. I had a couple of Patriot Pale Ales while my wife had a flight of three beers - one lager and two NEIPAs. All the beers were very cold, crisp & delicious. A nice touch of decor were the antique pistols doubling as beer taps - see photo.

One of the best breweries in the area. They have an awesome menu that can please anyone. They finally brought back the snack pack which is my personal favorite. Great rotation of beers to fit everyone’s tastes.

One of my favorite places to visit when in Carlisle, food is top notch and the beers are well made and offer a brew type for every palet.I highly recommend the peanut butter porter

Nice place to grab a quick beer and a snack in downtown Carlisle. Great selection of beers, served both on tap or in cans. Not a huge menu but what they do have is fresh and tasty. Got busy on a Wednesday afternoon with only two servers, both of whom were friendly and efficient.

Winter sports complex with woodland ski runs & varied outdoor battlefields for paintball games.
I had an incredible experience at Roundtop Mountain Resort. Whether you’re a skiing enthusiast or just looking to enjoy nature, this place has it all. The slopes are well-maintained, and the variety of trails is great for all skill levels. Even as a beginner, I felt comfortable thanks to the helpful and friendly staff.During the warmer months, the adventure park is a blast, with activities like zip-lining and the ropes course. The resort also offers beautiful views, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. The facilities are clean and well-kept, and the food at the lodge is tasty and reasonably priced. I can't wait to come back and explore more! Highly recommended for families and groups looking for outdoor fun year-round.

Great ski resort. This is our second visit and little disappointed with the covid regulations ( you can not enter the food court without the card) and as well the kids tubing lines was not the same like years ago…but definitely 5 stars for the staff , welcoming, warm smiles and very helpful feel like home

Just went today it was amazing, round top gets busy during the middle of the day. At the end it gets a lot better with there being only almost no lines. Round top is amazing for kids. There is even training for any ages above about 4. Round top overall is amazing I would recommend.

I took my kids snow tubing today and they had a great time. It was the first day of tubing for the year and there was an ice storm on top of it but that didn’t slow anyone down at the resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The amenities were on par with any other top quality ski resort I have been to in PEnnsylvania. We will go back soon.

Amazing place, family has been going here for years and it still has great views. The music at the lodge is on point it has a wide range of different music from different eras. Rentals were quick and easy, check in was quick and easy also came on a Monday. This place will always have a special place in my heart. The pipeline was a cool design. It would be cool to have some vegan options if possible. Overall 10/10 experience

Lots of slope options. Care is taken to fit you with the right gear. Good food choices (especially pre-COVID when they served breakfast). Proof of vaccination is required to enter the lodge/eat lunch indoors. Reservations are recommended.East coast skiing can get pretty icy. Some of the transition and border areas can use some coverage to prevent slipping and falling. Friendly staff.

Love this place, this was my first time there and it's nearly the end of the season but the people are very helpful and there is still a decent amount of snow left.

Worst skiing resort ever. Not a perfect choice for a beginner. They only care about the money. Just pay the tickets and do everything by yourself. No trainers, zero safety, no instructions and you have to figure everything out by yourself! The weird guy at the Revers ride carpet was very mean to me and my kids. He told my 8 years old son “listen to me or I will not let you play!” Excuse me!? Listen to what? There is no instructions at all. Every time we fell, we learned new lesson. No one teaches you how to stop even in the discovery area. You will ski until you hurt yourself or hit the fence! And who helped you when this happened? Visitors! Yes, they were supporting and instructing each other. Below are pictures from the beginners mountain!! My son fell in this! Remember these holes are surprising you while you are skiing as a beginner! Also, at the top of the beginner’s mountain, there is no fence to protect you from falling down the mountain. I went out of the skiing road and hit all trees at the top of the mountain!! Worst experience ever.

Great resort for a weekend skiing day trip from the DC area. It is not very crowded and the snow was great to ski on when I was here. It has a variety of slopes for all skill levels. I enjoyed my time here!

This review is for the snow tubing section. Please note it’s my first time snow tubing as well. The facility is decent with plenty of of activities to keep you busy. For a beginner, this js a fun place and you can do it with family (kids and adults). If you have a little meat on your bones 😉 (I do) don’t worry you’ll be just fine here. Everyone gets to have some good fun. It’s not as crazy and skiing or zip lining and you are relatively safer if you follow the common sense instructions and rules. They do offer some fun activities like paint ball in the summer months. I think it’s worth the hype and price.
Yinka A — Google review
Pleasantly surprised by good snow and short lines. I am here in the middle of Presidents’ weekend, it snowed Friday night and the weather is gorgeous if a bit windy. The snow is good, with a fresh coat of powder and the libes are short to non-existent. Too many “avalanche snowboarders” but if you can survive that, it beats Liberty Mountain (also very nice but smaller and much less snow). The restaurant with communal-style tables is well organized and fast, and the food is good. The courtesy shuttle to the parking lot is very frequent (no wait) and just takes a couple of minutes. The ski school is very well organized and all the staff at the resort (instructors, lifties, waiters, bus operators, are very kind. Of course it’s not the best place to ski but for what it has as resources it does extremely well!

Slopeside Slumber Party 3 hour race was fantastic!

We had a blast doing the snow tubing. They have a very effective system for keeping the lines moving. So much fun. One suggestion: they only offer round tubes, which can spin uncontrollably. I talked to many other customers who were dizzy/sick from the spinning, and my kids wanted to quit after an hour (paid for two hours) because of the spinning. I’d suggest replacing the tubes with an oblong tube or sled.

Ambience of the main lodge area is nice. There are seats along the windows where you can watch people come down the mountain or attempt the J-bat park. You don't need to be skiing to go get some food or coffee and enjoy the winter lodge experience. There is a cafeteria style food area serving things such as chicken fingers, fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, soup, drip coffee, hot chocolate/ cappuccino powder machine, and soda. Prices are on the expensive side. Although tasty, 3 chicken tenders and a handful of fries is $10.50. Soup is $7 a cup. Soda is $3 a cup.
Shannon I — Google review
Let’s be honest. The only good part about this mountain is that it’s in a good location for where I live. Tickets priced are way too expensive for there to be 5 trails/runs open. If they aren’t all going to be open, knock the price down. There are much better mountains for much less. Other than that it’s never too packed which is nice(prob because the price) and a good set up. Lodge/cafe is one of the better ones around. All around if you don’t wanna drive it’s fine, but much better mountains around for the riding aspect.

The Bube’s Brewery Dining & Entertainment offers an interesting and unique dining experience, with options including American cuisine, karaoke, and even a movie theater. Located in a building dating back to the 19th century, the restaurant also features an art gallery that displays local and regional artists.
We were in the area and we wanted to visit this unique place, the catacombs are open after 5pm so we had dinner at the brewery, the food was good, the patio is super charming. We were able to take the tour to the catacombs with the hostess who was super friendly and knowledgeable. We definitely plan to return to have dinner in the catacombs, it is something out of the ordinary, a trip to the past, worth the trip

First time here!!! Came for a murder mystery dinner, ate at the hotel. Had a fabulous time. Amazing place. Staff was very welcoming to us walking around to look around before and after our dinner. Was offered a tour after our dinner. Would defiantly recommend to attend one of their events or even to eat there at the restaurant.Only thing i would probably add - with the selling the tickets - maybe add what all is being added with the chicken or beef.Possibly add the menu to the tickets, would be helpful on choosing chicken or beef.My significant other’s chicken was cold / I do understand that many plates are made at the same time, not sure if you have hot plates to have food to be under while waiting to be served.Otherwise we really had no complaints. Whatever sauce was on the chicken was very different, but a good different!!!! Loved it….,

Beautiful old building in beautiful small town. Spectacular pirate performance on 5/26/2023 42ft below street level in the catacombs. The staff and food and show great people and worth every bit of the five stars given. Worth the ride worth the time and money my only comparison would be if you liked the medieval times style show there you go! That show not for the little kids 16yrs plus at least.

Did a Murder Mystery Dinner for my husband's and best friends birthday. It was so much fun. When we first walked in we were greeted by a gentleman who stayed in character from the time we arrived till the end of the dinner. Drinks were made by the pleasant bartender Dave. All drinks were very good. I believe there were 65 people that attended the dinner. The food came out a little later than I expected. First course was a salad. It could have had more dressing. Next we received some broccoli soup. The portion was quite small. Next we received our main entree. I got chicken with a corn and mashed potatoes. My husband got the same sides but he got the steak. The chicken was very good, the corn was a tad bit spicy and the mashed potatoes were very good. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Last was dessert. A chocolate brownie/cake with chocolate icing and some whipped cream. It was very good. I would say that rolls with butter would have been a nice "hold me over" since the food came out later than expected. My husband was chosen to play a role, which I believe they chose one person to participate from each room. He did a great job and definitely tried his best to get in to character. Overall the dinner was very fun and exciting. I would definitely do it again.

Tasty food, pleasant staff, great outdoor dining option. 😊The Biergarten was lovely and surprisingly empty given the nice weather, while a decent amount of people dined in the Bottlingworks. The Bottlingworks definitely gives off dive bar vibes but, fortunately, the food was not dive bar quality! The only downsides were that we came to see the catacombs but there was a wedding that evening (on a Wed) so they weren't able to let us down to check out the space. Additionally, the baked tomato bisque was spiced with sausage, which was an unpleasant surprise. I don't eat pork and the menu definitely did not include this in the description. In addition to the chunks of sausage in it, sausage was also ground into the soup base, making it impossible to avoid. The waitress was polite in removing it from the bill, simply stating that she understands everyone's tastes are different.

If you want a fun, interesting and unique place to get a bite to eat and maybe even some entertainment, then this is the place. Industrial decor and catacombs downstairs as deep as 35 feet below ground level. Great food selections and plenty of variety on drink options. If you are looking for a really unique and fun time sign up for one of the feasts in the catacombs. There is also outside seating when weather is nice. Live music on Sat night and some other nights.

I wanted to visit the catacombs since I saw Bube’s on Ghost Hunters. It became the focal stop on our road trip. I didn’t read reviews until we were close, and several poor ones worried me. But we had a fantastic visit. ✨The building is gorgeous. Our dinner reservation began with a brief tour and background of the property. The hostess walked us to our table downstairs making sure we were careful to watch our step. There’s a great cocktail menu, and the drinks were not weak! (I almost overlooked the shimmery liquor in my spritz because of the low-lit environment.)The seafood pasta and stuffed chicken breast were so delicious. I have never enjoyed brussels sprouts but ate every last one here. Zero complaints on the food, its temperature, or the preparation.Kendra, our server, was enthusiastic and attentive. We inquired and received a couple of paranormal stories. Even upstairs I asked if the bartender could wrap up a pint glass I purchased for our drive, and he did well to protect it. Great service from cool staff. The Biergarten out back is gorgeous. There are tons of games and ample seating. It all adds to the character of the property.Suggestions that could further improve the experience:*A confirmation text/email of the reservation*Bread to nibble on before entrees*Another vegetarian entree option (not a mushroom fan here)Overall, this was the highlight of our 10 day road trip. The charm of Main Street Mount Joy made it even more worth it. I would love to return, and I encourage others too to check out Bube’s.

There isn’t an experience quite like the catacombs here, it was really unique! Our server was great and the beers were fantastic. The food was ok, but the location and beer stole the show more than the food.

I went to this place for diner after a day of hiking. The waiter downstairs offered an excellent service and the food was amazing. Not too pricy for the place and the service. I would have given them 5 stars if the hostess upstairs wasn’t so rude and Unwelcoming. We did not have a reservation, however, the bartender told us somebody had cancelled, so he would get us that table if they didn’t show up in 30 minutes. This made the hostess even more upset for no reason, it was like she didn’t want us in there. Made it very hostile for us, because we didn’t have a reservation. When we went downstairs, there were more than enough empty tables available, although not as many waiters. The caves were awesome and everybody was very nice( except from that lady by the front) the steak was on point, hands down to the chef!

We visited last night for our anniversary dinner, a rare opportunity for us to enjoy a night out without the children. The experience of dining in the catacombs was unique and delightful, providing a memorable atmosphere. Unfortunately, the quality of the dinner itself was disappointing. I ordered the crusted salmon, which lacked flavor, and my boyfriend chose the seafood pasta, which was not only small in portion—just 2-3 forkfuls—but also quite dry, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. This was a real letdown, especially given how excited we were for the experience. With our limited opportunities to dine out as a couple, we hoped for a more fulfilling meal. Sadly, it missed the mark.

I came here after a hike with friends and we really wanted to see what this place was about! The inside of the restaurant definitely didn't disappoint, and the drinks and food were pretty good too! I ordered fish and chips and I will say that the fish could've been more seasoned, but the fries were perfect! Come for the food & stay for the awesome interior, or vice versa! Either way, it was a unique spot that I'd be willing to try again!

Very unique place! Loved the atmosphere and the history. Definitely take the catacomb tour!! The food was ok, a solid 6/10, for us. Not bad, but nothing particularly special and the portions were a bit small, with the size of the Mac and Cheese being an exception. The beers were tasty and smooth. The staff was delightful and seemed to care. We would return for the experience, not necessarily the meal.Pork chop; dry and glaze dried quickly, making it impossible to get on the chop. Green beans were fresh but unseasoned. Mashed potatoes were good.Pulled Pork: decent, not a lot of meat, very standard tasting. Fries were excellent.Mac and Cheese: "wasn't horrible, but wasn't the best. Basic. "

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Bube’s! Make sure to make a reservation at their dining in the catacombs, because this experience is truly one of a kind. The experience starts off with a little tour of the catacombs and parts of what the building started off as - a hotel. You end with being seated in a very aesthetic area of the catacombs. Our waiters were very nice, and even compensated part of the meal as the some of the food took very long to come out. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure to check on us!The food was really good - the salmon and chicken entrees were delicious. The bruschetta appetizer was also tasty. While waiting for our table, the bar is available for you to order drinks: their holiday drinks are tasty, especially the gingerbread spiced ones!

We dined in The Catacombs restaurant, but arrived early for our reservation so had cocktails at the bar on the main level. Good service with friendly attitude at the bar.The Catacombs were exquisite- the food was delectable, and priced fairly for the excellent quality. Atmosphere was charming and calming; the service was exceptional. Jude was not only our drinks fellow but had a roaring conversation with my other half all about English soccer teams. (We were the last couple seated and it was nice to have so much one-on-on attention.) Kendra was our main food server and she was wonderful too.Lobster bisque, which was seasoned perfectly, and heated to a perfect temperature, with enormous lump lobster in it and Stuffed Mushrooms were scrumptious! He ordered the Pork Alois, a meal for for a king and equally as tasty, and I had the salmon- excellently seasoned and served. We both had cocktails, ginger beer, and coffee; all was stupendous.Highly recommend for an intimate evening our and a unique, delicious dining experience.

This is a big, beautiful park with a huge lake, lots of potentials for enjoyment. Visited this place early spring last year and it looks very interesting. We surely will be back this summer or early fall.

Stayed one night as a first timer there to check it out. My site, 238, was large but pretty rocky and rooty. Campfire ring had trash plus ash in it. A lovely volunteer gentleman picked out the trash, and I called a ranger to please clean ring, which was done pretty quickly. I was a camp host for 5 weeks at a state park in Maryland, and a camp fire ring like this was never acceptable! However. I was very pleasantly surprised how quiet the loop was! No dogs barking, no wild shouting. That alone would induce me to return!

What a lovely place to spend a summer afternoon! The park is well maintained with a playground and picnic tables (some wirh BBQ grills) scattered around. Many of the tables are under large shade trees, and all have a great view of the lake. There are plenty of spots to fish from the lakeside, and some fishermen seemed to be pretty successful - all that I saw were doing catch and release. There is a boat house that rents kayaks, canoes, and rowboat. It would be nice if the boat house sold fishing worms, but we will know to bring our own the next time. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon.

Been coming here for 40 years. While the park is beautiful there are never any kind of improvements. Same bathhouses that were falling apart 20 years ago. Shower curtains for toilet stalls. No toilet paper ever, even on a Friday night on a holiday weekend. Soap dispenser broken hanging on the wall with duct tape. This is not even mentioning how dirty these bathrooms are. Mold everywhere. Grass is never cut I have to bring my own weed wacker to clear the sites to avoid all the poison ivy. If it were not for the close proximity and the nostalgia I don't think I would ever come here. On a positive note they have seemed to get rid of all the loud obnoxious parties here of past. Please take pride in our local park and fix it up!!!!

This state park has over 2300 acres to explore, 340 of those being the lake, aquatic habitat. As such, the outdoor rec area remains a site for fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, boating, birding and swimming. The nature center is currently closed for renovations. The park is named in honor of Pinchot, a twice elected Governor of PA, the first administrator formally educated in the school of forestry in France, and who served under President Theodore Roosevelt, in addition to this area, I could find a location to review Bender’s historic cemetery spot so I did post these as well under this review-as a PA state park, no fees and there are dumpsters available to collect refuse accumulated while at the park

Lake Trail was gorgeous this week in January! A little muddy from the rain, but easy to maneuver around. Trails were well marked and very well maintained, fallen trees removed etc. Rocky in some places, so be prepared for hiking conditions, but trail is flat. Gorgeous lake views the whole way. Very easy to find Lake Trail from any parking lot and take it as far as you want. Tons of space for picnics etc in better weather. Love this park!

Workers were super kind and friendly with helping get a necklace out of a cage that I wanted to buy. There were items there that I have never seen in person before and worth while looking at. They even had uranium glassware available! (Not to drink out of LOL). They have it with a black light so you can see that it’s glowing. There are also public restrooms so you should be set if it’s a rainy day and you need something to do. I could’ve spent hours in there if I never realized what time it was LOL. Will be back!

We've been here a few times and each time we say the same thing... it's too damn big. All jokes aside, this place is full of treasures. The beauty is each stall is unique and you can find anything here. From furniture to china, wood working tools to collectibles and everything in between. Prices are fair and their are plenty of good deals to be had if you keep your eyes peeled.Best part though? Staff is amazing. They are attentive, quick with a jokes, and friendly. I would come back because of that alone.

If you want to take some good steps. This is the spot. There are so many things to see. From Jewlery to glassware to all sorts of different things. Don't miss it!

Very nice store! Very big with three floors and many glass cases! Much bigger than it looks from the outside despite it being a warehouse looking building! Very well organized and I thought the prices were very well priced overall. Worth coming to the area to visit!
Kevin M — Google review
~ currently they had a lot of stuff 15%-20% off ~This place is so cool with the different venders being able to sell collectibles/antiques without being there. A very wide selection like: fiesta dishes, uranium glass dishes, comics, jewelry, paintings, fishing supplies, Games, clothing, furniture/mirrors, plus more. it’s floors sound very squeaky but are completely safe. there’s three floors ( 1st, 2nd, & basement) and no available elevator to the public it seems * I include a photo *. It’s a very nice place to skim through and spend some time at.Personally, I’d deem this place as not handicap accessible.

What a great place!! I stopped by for the first time a few weeks ago. Great selection of quality items, the prices were good. The staff were so nice and helpful! I met Susie, Eric, and the part-time gentleman Gene. Looking forward to going back soon!!

Wonderful selection of vintage purses and antique L.E. Smith glass I am interested in. However, I was pointed at and followed by a male and female employee while I shopped for over an hour prior to the pointing woman approaching me to very firmly request the items I was carrying be placed behind the register. I was treated as if I was going to steal the entire time I was shopping. My husband was there as well and holding multiple items - none of which were asked to be placed behind the register. Ridiculous and rude. I am not shocked considering all of the employees are of a certain flavor. Or lack of.
Kelli B — Google review
Staff was absolutely rude!!! I love the items but will never return because of one particular women who was just rude. My basket had overflowed with items so I began to use a bag that I had brought with me to take home my purchases. This women accused me of possibly trying to steal. This was after I placed my bag and basket on the counter to pay for everything. Absolutely unnecessary and excessive.

Three floors full of goodies in an old hardware store setting. Staff was friendly and lots of dealers had sales. Went home with some treasures and can’t wait to come back!

I've stopped in here twice now on my yearly excursion to Lancaster. I love this shop. It's well organized enough but antique store enough- if that makes sense. Just enjoyable.
Jenna B — Google review
Amazing place with tons to offer. Three huge stories of antiques, trinkets and all the good stuff you'd find in grandma's attic. If you're into antiques, collectibles or random vintage stuff then a trip to Burning Bridge is a must.

Amazing place to spend a day. The staff members are wonderful, the booths are organized and you can find a bit of everything there!

Thank you so very much to Cindy and her crew . For finding the prices of the insulators I wanted. And holding them till I could get there to retrieve them. Will definitely be coming back here soon

Alot of great items for sale and some overpriced. That's ok. Ppl can charge what they want. Didn't appreciate the vendor stall that had about 20 signs "camera in use" made me feel like I wasn't welcome to shop. Addressed with front end clerk who didn't seem to mind.
D C — Google review
Disgusting customer service, very dismissive. Vendors are great an friendly but the boomers behind the counter are not at all helpful. These are the people who wonder why Columbia gets a bad rap

What a great place to shop antiques. Three floors of great and varied selections. The workers are always pleasant and helpful. I visit frequently becuase stock is changing all the time.

One of our favorite antique malls in the Lancaster, Columbia and Strasburg area. After spending 4 days, traveling those areas and visiting nearly all malls. This one stands out at a highlight of the trip. The amazing staff, display booths, prices and selection of items helped us find treasures and walk back through time.
Molly L — Google review
Horrible customer service. Stopped by to buy an old, collectible coin as a gift for a family member. As I went up to the counter, another customer got to the register slightly ahead. Considering I was a bit in a hurry over a lunch break, I was momentarily bummed until I saw two other available workers behind the counter. Unfortunately, I stood there for 5-10 minutes and not ONE employee offered to help (while two of the workers were yacking away behind the counter appearing to be doing nothing) or at least acknowledge my presence and let me know they’d be right with me. Eventually I just walked out…..I refuse to patronize an establishment where employees are so oblivious and tone deaf to waiting customers. I’ll look for a similar item online or elsewhere (and we wonder why brick and mortar stores are endangered….). I understand that waiting for help is a necessity sometimes and that in and of itself doesn’t bother me. The lack of awareness of employees is what is infuriating in this instance. Just a general lack of politeness…

The York County History Center is a museum and archive that offers interactive exhibitions showcasing the history of York County. Despite its small size, it boasts a noteworthy collection of artifacts that represent the area's cultural heritage. The museum also considers visitors with limited mobility by providing ample seating and an elevator to access all floors. However, patrons looking for an extensive gift shop may be disappointed as it is rather small with limited options.
I grew up in York and brought my west coast husband here for a journey into history. Out guide, John, was personable and witty. The relics, displays, and stories were amazing. I recommend spending an hour or so browsing the exhibits and take the guided tour! We didn't time it correctly, but they do ghost tours in October as well.
Susan Z — Google review
Free admission day was fun. Tons of York manufacturing history, underground railroad, old farm equipment and factory machines. I really love the old car and the 2 story high Ice machine!! Touch screen video displays, flip cards and clear easy to read signage. We saw children enjoying the displays. My favorites are the black steam engine and the real Conestoga wagon.
Ttalany — Google review
It was an impressive museum that rivials what I've encountered at some state history museums. Very inactive and informative.
Aaron F — Google review
This was really one of the best local museums I've been to. We loved the Underground RR stories, stories of various community groups, touch screens that allow you to see short stories of people making things, etc. Also some other hands on things like rolling a cookie mold roller, etc. We also had a great tour of the colonial complex. Wish we had had another hour or two!

This museum is small but definitely worth seeing. They have a good display of artifacts representing the area. There were a good number of places to sit as you navigate the museum.I have very limited mobility and it is important that museums consider that in their layout. They have an elevator to get to each floor. One area that I was disappointed was with the gift shop. It was very small and had little variety. One thing to keep in mind is that they still require you to wear a mask when visiting.

This is a lovely venue for a party rental. We rented it on a Sunday, which was convenient because we got to deliver supplies on Saturday afternoon just before they closed. My 45 guests were impressed with the beauty of the main room, and the sound of the organ as it was played by our organist, Richard Frey. They had plenty of tables and chairs for our set-up, and their kitchen is convenient for catering. The room was filled with light and had ample space for dining and dancing. It was also much more affordable than many of the restaurant banquet rooms and hotels we also looked at when planning our party. It's a unique location that adds a lot of charm to any occasion. It's different from the Ag and Industrial Museum, and it was the better choice for our event. I would definitely rent here again!

Amazing museum for the price! You get entry to the fascinating history center, an incredible tour of Revolutionary Era houses, and the agricultural museum. The History Center itself is, frankly, far nicer and bigger than I was expecting, and I wish we had allocated more time. I'd say you can see it in about 90 minutes. The building is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The reproduction "street " inside is a must-see if you have some time in the area. Just go!
Krista C — Google review
Great museums. There are at least 4 near each other. You pay one price and that gets you into all of them. Only draw back is they close at 4pm. So go early to see all the museums

My mother and I attended a talk here last week. Good parking right on the street. Beautiful building. Great seating area for listening to speakers. My mother and I were greeted by members of the writers group. We felt welcomed and appreciated. The talk was interesting and thought-provoking. We would like to return during normal hours to view their museum displays.

The York County History Center has moved from it's original location on E Market Street to N Pershing avenue. The museum is currently open by invitation only for the next few weeks with an official grand opening soon afterwards. All of the photos in this gallery are from the old museum at the old address, and not the new museum.

So much to see and learn here!! Who knew so much history was preserved in our area. Was able to learn about history highlighting black desdcansts of York and women suffrage movement in York. Can't wait to go back but you seriously need 3 hours to enjoy the place and we only had 1!
Joshua B — Google review
We were so caught off guard by this place! I only went in to verify my tickets for the Colonial Complex. We had about 45 minutes and thought we would burn a little bit of time before going over to the tour. It turned out we needed at least twice that time. There were so many things to do and see (ages 9 to Gen X): the grandfather clock collection, the makeshift storefront display, 1950s-1970s York political cartoons (a lot of similar issues today), the one-room schoolhouse, and so much more. The building just kept going! We will definitely be back. The website for all the York history sites was a little hard to navigate, but I'm so glad we did!!

What a wonderful experience! You can pet the baby cows in the back. The farm store has incredible ice cream as well as locally sourced and locally made goods. Make sure to try their flavor of the month ice cream! I absolutely recommend a visit here. I look forward to coming back at another time.

Our first time there. We got a few baked goods and icecream. We recommend the chocolate mint chip and also the blueberry cheesecake. So smooth and creamy and yummy. Not overly sweet. The waffle bowl and cone are great too

The BEST ice cream (I got raspberry... so good), nice people inside the store with lots of goodies and treats to buy, including specialty milks/candy/baked goods/soap etc... and the best part is you can pet baby cows... for free!!!!!! These baby cows loved me. There was also a hand washing station and sanitizer which I appreciated.

What is there not to like about Perrydell. From shakes, to treats to different flavors of milk, you will find something you can enjoy and take with you.During the warmer months you can enjoy the sight of some farm animals, while entertaining conversations with others as you enjoy your purchase from Perrydell.

Great ice cream, and the baby cows are so adorable! The kiddos get to pet the baby cows and see the adult ones as well. Nice area outside to sit down some tables with shade. Natural hand made things inside and you can buy their fresh made ice cream to bring home too <3 love this place

Ice cream is always fresh and delicious. The gift shop is nice and has some unique items. The main draw if you have kids is the cows. You can pet most of them and see the milking process. It's pretty neat

We came here as a family yesterday to see the cows and get some ice cream. It is a working farm, so definitely keep your kids close. It was nice to be able to walk around and see the calves, the cows, and the milking parlor in action. The ice cream was pretty good too!
Chelsea M — Google review
I have tasted their milk multiple times in the past and I know that my son loves their chocolate milk. I just never knew where it was located. So the wife and I were looking for new ice cream places to visit and this place popped up on my maps. So we visited. It was a good time. Nice little grocery store with farm-type of items, ice cream shop, and, of course, dairy products. Staff were pleasant. You can walk about the farm on a self-guided tour and just was a nice trip.

Very interesting place. A store with many food items to purchase and counters but you have to go outside to order and pickup. I've never seen that before. Peach ice cream was yummy and worth every calorie. I drove 2 hours and this was my first stop when arriving in York.
Jody B — Google review
Stopped by since they are featured on the ice cream trail! Part of a farm they have a small store. We had various purchases and wanted to try their ice cream we were told we had to order and then wait outside. One in our group asked for a certain flavor milkshake, we were told they were out but the flavor was in the case. He ended up with a mint chocolate chip that was so strong of mint it did not taste good at all. The staff was not friendly and seemed annoyed to be there. I can give everything else a pass until the customer service fails. Outside they have very few picnic tables for the amount of customers. On the plus side the blueberry cheesecake ice cream was delicious but unfortunately not enough to bring us back.
Amanda H — Google review
This place has the largest ice cream cones! I couldn’t even finish the double scoop of ice cream that I ordered. The apple cheesecake flavor-of-the-month was quite sweet; however, it was still delicious.Unfortunately, the staff will only let you sample the flavor-of-the-month. On the bright side, the flavor-of-the-month is discounted 25 cents a scoop. This place is great for kids. The farm has a window where you can watch cows being milked. If your visit coincides with the farmers feeding their roughly 40 calves, you will be in for a real treat!

This is a super cute place and it sits on top of beautiful rolling hills. The apple cider donuts from here were phenomenal, almost the best ones I've had. Can't wait to try something else next time I stop in.

I only stopped in for coffee through a Google search. I did not realize just how big this was. They have a separate room for wine tastings, a marketplace, a cafe to have food, ice cream, sweets counter, baked goods, deli. Their apples come from their own orchard. The vineyard comes from local fruit and vineyards around the area. They do weddings here. If I lived in this area I would make this a regular stop. Things are a bit more pricey, but it's good stuff.

Prices are too high. Mom was dying to get lemon sponge pie and found it at brown's. It was horrible, tasteless. She had one bite and had to throw it out. She had bacon corn chowder. Paid $6 for a small portion. It has tiny bits and pieces of ingredients in it. Place has gone comercial. Mother is so disappointed. We will tell our friends and acquaintances.

Great place for families and the food at the Cafe was delicious! I only gave it 4 stars because the baked goods and items in the market were a little pricey to me but I like to support local whenever possible. Highly recommend the desserts! Out of this world.

I love shopping at Brown's for the Farm Fresh goods. But you need to get back to being a Farm Market. All those tchotchkes, it's too much. I want more of your great fresh products. There are other venues for dust collectors. Get back to you roots.Looking forward to great fresh produce, baked goods, and prepared food!

Would love to give a cheerful 5 Stars but there was an issue that needs attention.I was there earlier today on July 8th, around noon time. The location and the farm market is beautiful and lovely 👍.But the girl in the orange shirt handling my order was touching inside my latte cup with her hands while handling the cash register at the same time. This is not hygienic and she didn't seem to care at all, even after I expressed my concern. I trust this concern will be reviewed.Dr. Daniel DavidAward nominated author, recording artist,

It was my first time there beautiful railroad i didn't ride I chased it with my two great friends we had a wonderful time next time I want to ride behind 17 and chase it again the staff was super friendly and I know the one conductor from wmsr I was happy to see him as well I plan on coming back in the near future 😀
Tyler B — Google review
A real shame that York 17 doesn't operate anymore, but they do have a GP7 which I'll take any day! The ride was nice, nothing too special but still nice. The Easter Bunny costume was a bit...uncanny though. I also recommend expanding the gift shop and adding more areas for people to check out the rolling stock. I was actually able to follow the train back to the shed and got some incredibly surreal pictures.
Nathan B — Google review
Over the summer, Steam Into History had rail ties replace by a company called Track Builders. About 20% of the rail ties they put in around mile marker 12 are cracked and don't look too safe. They also put in cracked/defective ties prior to the Howard Tunnel. Not sure who paid for the work, but Track Builders did a poor job. Please be Advised if you are planning on taking the train north of Hanover Junction. DOES NOT LOOK SAFE!
Steve P — Google review
Absolute Crap. They sell tickets for seats but when you board the seats are just a free for all. Someone was in our seats and wouldn't get up and the people who run the thing don't care.Don't oversell your train if you can't run the business right.
Rob B — Google review
My husband and I have decided that this train ride is the top-of-the-line as far as we are concerned for customer service and such an enjoyable and fun ride; the entire staff was so friendly and you felt like a guest in their home. This was such a departure from other train rides we have taken with other company that treat you as a dollar sign. The staff was very informative about what to expect from the short stops and the history of the rail. We had a blast and hope to come back again soon! Our excursion iincluded a box lunch and it was pretty good! If I could give the company more than a 5-star rating I would. By the way we rode in the New Freedom car and it was very comfortable.

We went on the 1pm train ride to Hanover Junction for Grandparents Day. It was a very enjoyable 2.5 hour ride. My in-laws and family had a relaxing time on the trip listening to the conductor provide the history of the rail line and sights we were passing.

The train is beautifully restored inside, and the staff go well above and beyond to make it a lovely experience. You can tell that they really enjoy their jobs and care deeply about the riders having a good experience. Plus, you can have a yummy meal before or after the ride right across the street at Paesano's.

Steam into History is a poor neighbor. They idle their trains for long periods of time. Which results in the horrid stench of fuel oil filling the town. Today when their steam engine went by the New Freedom station it was bellowing smoke and filled the whole valley with a haze of oil fumes.
